So with the upcoming shell mitigation and company/merc specific roster slots, how exactly are those slots going to be guaranteed? In a defensive war 40 slots are reserved for company members, but is there anything stopping the defending company from not slotting the full 40 company slots, and those slots just auto filling anyway? So the defending company could in theory only slot 20 people and then still have 30 mercs (10 slotted and 20 autofill). So is there something in place thats going to stop that from happening? Because if not, this change doesnt really change anything other than those people not being able to war again until reset.
As written and presumably intended, this should not be possible (although randoms is not particularly reliable). Whether or not they tested these conditions will be yet to be determined. It’s possible this could be a work around.

Yeah it would be pretty pointless if they didn’t stop it from sutofilling
