War System Ended the New World

While you aren’t wrong. The larger picture is this game has become a very toxic cease pool, where with 1 account you can get into 4 wars if you are a good. When there is only so many marbles for everyone to get, and that top 10% is gobbling them all up, everyone else is left with nothing. OPRs are toxic, Global chat is Toxic, Faction Chat is Toxic. Because that’s just about all that is left playing. There is no common ground, even trying to do stuff as a faction is poor because the game supports flip flopping servers and factions and loyalty. This isn’t a game about fun, it’s honestly just about being as big of a jerk as you can, until you get banned. (Least that’s what it’s devolved too) Where people/companies are literally hopping from server to server feasting on the people who are left there sucking up all the resources with the money they gain from territory and then leaving to the next server. This is a lotus mentality and it’s what actually fully destroyed the game, And AGS’s inability to look past their egos and do what’s right vs what dumb thing they think is right. They failed us. And I’m barely even wanting to play anymore because I don’t see this game lasting another couple of months… summer is here, and I think the people who have been hanging on in hopes that they turn it around are just done… the potential this game had was amazing, and if we were launching at the game state now it would have been great, but rushing to market with a 1/2 done game, and a team who just honestly is clueless (Leaderships fault, not the coders) was just insulting. So AGS devs, the job market is booming, might I suggest getting out before the dumpsterfire that is this game shutters?

So true. Not only that, the mega companies have companies on all sides on a server and trade off or they work deals with other companies etc. It is BS. And like you said, a very tiny % only get to participate in wars as I am sure many would love to.

IMO it needs a total revamp knowing now how companies are and how it is abused. I can’t think of any solutions but I have seen plenty of people post ideas which sounded awesome.

I’ve done 2 wars, I think? I’m just not grinding a PVP gear set. Until they have a better filter system for gear sets, then I’m not grinding multiple different ones. They need a armory system like in DCUO where it’s a quick switch toggle.

Im one of the 10% and i think its stupid, plus im tired of getting pms to join multiple wars and saying no constantly then i look like a jerk. Let everyone play wars

You need a certain competency level to function in a war otherwise you’re just gonna get farmed like 20 times and be useless.

@Khanzy Wait what did you say? The only thing you need to be successful in Wars in New World. Is to have uber gear, rolling META build, and META tactics including cheats and exploits. This game has one of the lowest competency bar in the industry. To say otherwise just make you out to be a gaming shitter.

First of all, teritory control should be tied to the faction and not companies. Crafting, taxes, etc, should be destributed across the controling faction and not the whale companies. Otherwise the already huge gap between company power or whatsoever will never get better. (PvE companies or weaker companies within the faction don’t stand a chance of decent revenew and will always be behind)

Like i’ve read here somewhere, wars should not be instanced and should happen in real time, for, lets say 1/2/3 days. That way everyone can join if they want. Faction would get points by controlling certain areas within the teritory for the time the war goes on (similiar to OPR, without Baro) and by the end of the war, the faction with most points gets control of the teritory.

This happening at the same time (if it’s the case) accross multiple teritorries (no more than 3/4, otherwise there will not be enough people in all teritories in battle)

Every time wars are mentioned you just go off on one making out people are cheating. Why is that? lol

War are maded to be a highly competitive mode. It’s not a problem, what you’re looking for is a Mode to random ppl play wars like Outpost.

The gear gap that low geared players face in New World atm. Is about the same gap in power a 600 GS player faces in BDO fighting a 700+ GS player. It’s obvious not small, or people wouldn’t be spending millions per a piece of this gear. The gear gap in New World currently, is the driving factor for PvP success. And the worst part is, at least 90% of the gear progression is PvE exlusive.

Far as the me being mechanically skilled. That’s easy to prove, since I have screenshot on these forums. Showing my massive PvP successes, before the shitters convinced the Devs. In the November patch to change New World from being skill based, to overwhelmingly gear base.

So what happened? Did I just get significantly less skilled as a player overnight? Or did the Devs increased the importance of gear in the game. To the point I was fighting nuclear armed players with only a wooden bow and arrow? With a thousands of hours of PvE grinding just to become a factor again.

Funny because that patch, did the exact opposite, of convincing PvPers to flock to New World. It was one of the two patches that each caused a mass exodus from the game.

I tried playing in wars. I wouldn’t say it’s fun. It’s a zerg fest and it’s not that enjoyable. I quit because my PC could not take it so that may be the reason why I no longer join wars.

Concuerdo con eso, antes new world era mucho mas entretenido cuando el combate era por habilidades del jugador y no tanto por equipo. Alguien bajo 590 GS no tiene nada que hacer, por mucha habilidad que tenga, contra alguien con 625 GS.

Y mientras eso no lo arreglen, se seguirán escapando jugadores. Porque actualmente, si no eres GS600+, no estas “apto” para ninguna de las instancias PVP que hay actualmente. Ni siquiera las arenas te emparejan por GS, que al final de cuenta, termina siendo mucho mas determinante que el propio nivel.

@lubiano83 , Yeah that has been and still is the trend in all PvP scenes. That opt for this type of design. Because with in quick succession in under a 12 month time. All that are left playing are the supremely geared players. And since gear in these types of games completely override mechanical skill. Very few outside this pool of players stay playing for more than a few weeks.

But hey many of us explained this to AGS. But AGS is just committed to catering to the skillets and cheaters. So meh, it is what it is!

Cant help but to laugh every time I check on this dumpster fire, Saturday night 15k players total…I mean I just dont know how thats possible in 6 months from a million without honestly trying to fk it up.

Its funny because that version of the lifestaff could have been made to support a trinity model just fine. It had lots of support type things and just needed maybe a few tweaks. It didnt need a complete gut and redo. There was so much you could do with a lifestaff back then. Now its like one build only and boring.

Well New World is a buy to play game, with no monthly subs. So, it’s not hard for me to believe. They are not motivated to making NW interesting anymore. Loads of MMO vets understood this. And made their decision based off of this fact.
