Yeah that is a good point. If they made influence pushing way faster and added practice wars you can queue into would be a really good change in my opinion. I agree there should be more wars.

np. Make sure to try to really drive home that everyone who plays new world paid for the game and isn’t able to participate in one of the best aspects of the game.

Imagine being someone who hasn’t played new world and they see an commercial, 50v50 pops up on the screen and you see the 2 zergs clash together over the fort. WOW so cool they say, I want to check that out and get in on that. They buy the game, get to level 60 just to hit with a giant wall gate keeping them from playing. Even if they manage to start climbing the wall, if they don’t know guy at the top they won’t get allowed in.

You guys need to at least add some sort of practice wars or company v company mode where you can have large scale combat that players can just jump in and play.

I agree territory pushing is the worst part and needs to be made faster (with ~5-20 players) and more fun!

Also, I think more information/tools (weapons, stats, armor weight) need to be available for war sign ups to reduce the work load.

Yeah I agree, that’s why I’ve always only really played one build. I have other builds, not nothing on par with my main. It took me almost a full. Year to get bis for my main set. Have no interest in doing that again for another.

I never said anywhere people can’t get into wars, but getting good war experience is hard to come by. They join those low tier companies, and they just get farmed for 30 minutes. Getting good war experience to the majority of players who all paid for the game is very difficult/impossible in the current set up.

You can troll all you want, or go rant in discord about it but there is no argument, there are 1200 total war spots per server and 2500 players. Everyone paid for the game.

Not to be rude or anything, but no. They don’t. They are part of the reason why social slots exists and why “top pvp players” is all about who brags more or I’m friendlt with, not who perform better.

Most of the actual players that love the game wont even try to get a slot thanks to all the drama and butt kissing envolves in getting slotted.

Kinda divided, I get where you come from but most of those leaders simply choose to be a douche. “Power” corrupt players, as we all saw the big ones getting bigger and greedier with tax systems and gold ravenue from cities. Plus the game cant handle over 100 players in the same activity good enough for most above avarege specs.

Not sure you understand how wars and invasions go hand in hand, but you can’t have 12 wars in a day unless all factions band together for a timed push post invasion and even then it’d take them more than a week to make it so.

from your own screenshot on El-D or Ygg or whatever that server is right now, There are at best 4-6 wars in a day. Thats 400-600 people.
Not everyone forms a company, Not everyone joins a “low-tier” company.
Some people are just decent enough to get noticed and asked to merc then eventually invited to a company. If players can’t do that, they should learn on how to get better first.

Clearly your brain is so small you can’t figure out the point I was making, 1200 potential slots out of 2500 people on the server, hence why I say it’s literally impossible to give everyone a chance to play. Most Companies only will take people with war experiences and vods and getting good experience and vods is hard to come by for players new to the game and or just not know. Both things are true at once. You’re just a troll.

I was more just pointing out how much time spent and everything goes into running a company. While your as well. Ya.

As a way forward I would propose we just get rid of companies owning territory at all with the game itself managing territory (town board, craft stations).

Make it purely faction based (can only queue for your own faction) with RNG selection that you can queue for solo or in squad.

Introduce seasons, have wars happen hourly or at least multiple times per day with a score counter for each territory. Rewards for participating in each war remain same.

Territories are successfully defended or flipped weekly based on score for each territory.

Weekly Reward Box with some gold, azoth vials and pvp armour/weapons for all those who actively participated.

The weekly gold reward is still linked to territory income after factoring in maintenance costs and follows current mindset of which territories are more valuable, but adjusted to suit new system (shared amongst many, rather than the few) and is sanity checked to promote positive gaming behaviour.

Season rewards for all faction members who actively participated with Gold, Silver, Bronze reward packs. Unique titles, cosmetics, emotes, housing items etc.

that just creates a separate problem of faction wars, companies will have no identity and nothing to compete for. There is no reward for being the best. People have no incentive to play in this model.

There is error.exe and countless other companies on el-d/ygg who get people who are new and want to war, and OPR is usually played in non premades which makes one team hardlose. as time go’s on i am growing more of the opinion that wars should be something like Ranked 10v10 in wow, but in nw. An OPR type que for clan vs clan only.

This thread makes me miss Tera pvp. How action combat can be so good, and well done, in 1999, and yet end up like this is 2023 is mind boggling. Granted the graphics were dated and the cash shop skins could make your eyes bleed, but damn the combat so well done.

I like this idea. It would actually give real value to the faction system.

AGS would need to work on a system to make sure each group has 1 healer, so we don’t end up with 3 healers in 1 group and none in another group lol. Maybe like a fixed role queue. 2 melees, 2 supports/ranged and 1 healer group comps.

Wars should be limited to 25v25, or maybe even less, like 20v20. Then much more companies would be able to fill roster and try to claim city, even casual companies. This maybe also would fix that there would be less comapnies controlling the maps, because there would be more wars everywhere, and I dont think they would defend everything everyday. With current system 50v50 only big companies can fill roaster, and this is usually 1-2 companies in each faction

War need the same have a game mode for non rank war with a random forteresse and keep that would make the open world the ranked one
