Wars, attacking vs defending

It seems that most people in the community can agree that defenders have a heavy advantage over the attackers, and after participating in a few dozen wars myself I think a very strong issue with wars right now are how the defenders spawn vs the attackers spawn.

The attackers spawn way back at camp, and is very punishing on death. Defenders spawn on top of the point they’re defending, easily able to get around the attacker’s flanks by dying, which should be a punishing mechanic (in my opinion.)

I think defenders should spawn behind the point towards the fort, where they need to walk up to the point. This could help the wars feel a bit more balanced towards the attackers.
