Problem
There appears to be an issue with super-strong factions/companies owning key territories and being able to defend them because they are sweatlords with the best gear/tactics. This leaves little chance for smaller companies actually able to Win a war with them even if they were able to win a conflict and chance for war. This also means that companies of the same faction will not be able to have a chance at owning those territories.
Suggestion
Diminishing Returns for defenders, up to a cap, reduces combat effectiveness in some way. Either more expensive costs for defenders ammunition or reduced player HP or Attack by a %. OR a bonus to attackers in some way such as increased HP/Attack or cheaper/more effective siege.
Something along the lines of:
1st defence - no penalty
2nd defence - 5% penalty to defenders
3rd defence - 5% bonus to attackers/5% penalty to defenders
4th defence - 10%/-10% etc
nth defence - 50%/-50%
Not saying this should completely void a defence, but the fort should be harder and harder to defend. Lore wise this would make sense that the defenders would weary over time.
Currently, our company owns and has easily successfully defended 2 zones many times. So I am not saying this from a complaining point of view. But would like to see more dynamic ownership of territory and have a chance for other, smaller companies to enjoy, what I consider, a key component of New World.
