Wars on Superbowl Sunday

Servers merge 2 day before the Superbowl so naturally there are 4 wars happening on Superbowl Sunday when 80% of the companies war team has other plans. More people watch the Superbowl than vote in the US, you would think that on Major Holidays/Events wars should be pushed to the day after.

Its war my dudes…

what is Super Bool?
some people live outside the U.S.

You’re right but not everyone cares about Christmas either and it is still dumb to have wars on that day too. It’s more about not having wars on obvious days that many people will not be able to participate. It was also a bad date they chose to merge servers out of the blue.

It’s no so much about watching the game as it is about people not being home.

Very true, but this server is in the US, I’d expect the same respect for major national events on other country servers as well.

It’s almost like there are people from other countries who play or watches football

Not everyone cares about football.

Maybe you don’t, but the viewership would say otherwise. But clearly you’re missing the point, there should be days that don’t have wars when a large portion of the player base won’t be playing.

then there shouldn’t be wars on days when other games (like Lost Ark) come out.

But how much of the player made is “the veiwership”

Also, did war times shift to today because of the merge? If so than I get it, but also most of the time it’s the players decisions that determine war dates/times.

New World and Superbowl are only games, nothing vital or even cultural. You like both? Well then you will have to decide. Wars are all over the year, if you still like the game. Your superbowl is once a year, your choice

Lol nobody gives a damn.

Sure they do, the people who don’t just don’t own a territory. When you invest a lot of time and effort into something you typically care about it.

I would argue that the Super Bowl is very much cultural in the US, but since you pointed out the obvious, you would also know that it’s not just 1 persons choice, wars have 50 people on each side and when you own a territory and invest a ton of time in developing and maintaining it, you don’t want to lose it to non-game related circumstances; like more than half your roster being away for one evening. By all means push wars but the game should have some safeguards should they land on major religious or cultural holidays/events to postpone them by 24 hours.

Thanks captain.
