Yea just 15 years of experience as software engineer…
Don’t get me wrong but we won’t be here if we didn’t have fun. The game has its ups and downs but certainly, I’m enjoying it, if I haven’t then why would I be here? I know there are plenty of beautiful souls who are looking for some attention and they have certain tendencies but this only works when you are 10-15 years old, later it only makes you look childish.
Someone said that non-hardcore guilds are dying, well is it not the point of casual guilds? They will never act as in other mass games due to a server structure, sadly for some, every member needs to have some kind of personality and some input or it will die, just like irl.
Nah this update has made me want to quit after 2500 hours. Disappointed but not surprised.
Im having fun
I find myself in that weird thresshold of i spent too much time to drop it entirely and even still i still really want the game to succeed. pitching ideas seems to not go anywhere or has such a large lay over that the point of which its no longer relevant.
The whole azoth debacle kinda’ put the fun on hold.
But here is my take on a large portion of improvements in the came
This is a hybrid of PvP with PvE elements faction missions that resemble PvP multiplayer game objectives that can be played independently. The beauty of this is it negates waiting times, rosters, and fixes itself to already existing mechanics making it easier for devs to implement compared to other projects. But has much more room for expansions later down the road
I propose a few gameplay modes that would pair well with the game and offer very entertaining functions to the game to contrast the current quests. this feature would make use of the current quest giving model while offering more versatility.
To set the parameters, utilizing the forts and tents are the primary focus. They should be be populated with 10 NPC’s respective to the territories level that ally with the faction that currently controls the fort or tent. With some consideration I find the combination of 1 elite commander, 2 elite captains, 2 archers, 1 rifle-man, 2 sword and shield, 1 great axe, and 1 spear would be a well balanced defense for the NPC population at each structure.
A faction rep should be at the forts and tents for rapid mission deployment but fort and tent reps offer less than town reps to balance things out.
This opens up possibilities for further missions down the road.
To gain control over the fort or tent instead of the 10 minute king of the hill gameplay which is currently the longest waste of time in gaming history. Instead, the faction that has the most pull in the territory control gets the fort and the faction with the second most control gets the tent.
Faction missions completed from the towns should offer more points to ensure a catch-up mechanic for the third faction.
Dividing the missions into two categories.
groupers (missions that rally players together, they dont pay much but can be done in rapid succession)
and…
pullers (missions that pull players away from the forts and tents to stimulate a struggle, and they should pay more to discourage players form ignoring them)
THE CONVOY puller- team fortress two had an escort multiplayer mission where teams had to defend a cart and deliver it to its destination while the other team has to destroy it. I propose a multi caravan convoy that has to travel from the town or border, to the fort or tent which would pull players away from the fort or tents for a certain amount of time. however the enemy faction has to destroy all 3 caravans to prevent a victory. one caravan should have a war horn, one should have a turret and one should have a cannon completely usable.
SABOTAGE grouper- in 3 minutes, teams have to defend the fort while the others have to attempt to tamper with the forts defenses. with visual smoking effects for the already affected equipment. total sabotage of all the equipment is required for victory while defending teams have to repair the equipment.
DEMORALIZE THE ENEMY grouper- capture the flag between the fort and tent its been tried tested and has held its own for decades as a standard multiplayer PVP game type.
DOUBLE AGENT puller - intercept the defector, track and capture or eliminate the defector who is currently trying to flee the territory. take the intel carried by the defector and bring it back to your faction rep or take it to the enemy’s faction rep for no faction points but an increased monetary gain.
SPECIAL DELIVERY grouper - deliver a caravan loaded with explosives to the enemy’s fort or tent players must physically push the caravan and defend it to succeed.
ASSASSINATE THE COMMANDER grouper - kill the commander, stealth optional.
SUBTERFUGE grouper - deliver the fake orders to the corrupt faction rep without being detected by the guards.
Optional puller kill a messenger last reportedly seen in-between the town and the seige, take his letter and deliver it to us for a bonus.
FOOT PAD puller - circuit race, run and deliver a note to 4 destinations within the timer to receive a reward.
KING OF THE HILL grouper Hold the middle ground for a collective time of 10 minutes (one man holding position is 20 minutes, two men holding position is 10 minutes, 3 men holding position for 6.66 minutes, 4 men holding position for 5 minutes) and time doesnt reset upon death
MAGE-BALL Grouper a flock of turkeys are in the battlefield. we cant let these get us in a fowl mood. take them out. 2 minutes to kill 20 turkeys may the best mage win.
RESIDENT CORRUPTED grouper a micro demon is loose nearby, small but absolutely deadly. take it out. if you die you rise up as one of them with a 50% health debuff. you retain that state for 5 mins or until you die. you loose the ability to perceive friend from foe except other corrupted, you gain 50% haste for 5 mins but are enemies with none corrupted and gain a small faction bonus bonus for every man killed. but killing the demon gets you a lot of faction points.
if you have any objections to this I would like to hear from you
if you support this idea I would like to hear from you as well.
if you have any ideas of your own, please feel free to add them.
Youre clearly lying or something i don’t know. But i dont understand how anyone in the right mind would want to quit because of the july patch? It is the biggest and best update the game has gotten so far. Easily
This is a discussion not a phallic waving contest pointing out who knows more. Its about the game and identifying the void in what is missing. So far all you have produced is the implications that you know more about this stuff than actually providing anything productive to the conversation. If thats how you want to conduct yourself than please visit another forum.
So don’t play it if you’re not having fun. When I start feeling bored with an mmo I stop playing before I reach a level of burn out. That way in a few months I can come back and enjoy myself again.
Ok, Tell me what’s good about this update Properso.
i stopped playing not cuz bored but cuz azoth vials dont work
Same.
The obvious answer is hop to another game and yes of course thats an option, if you dont mind falling behind. I have been trying to play catch up since release and admittedly its a bit tiresome if you finally catch up and there is another version of gear score (GS) implimented but thats my hurtle to get over. What I want to focus on in the meantime is are players in my similar position new or simply dont have the time like myself to catch up reasonably actually having fun during the grind of catching up. Is the repeticious sequence of events actually a fun and entertaining way to spend the the available free time that we have. Currently the barrier between having fun in pvp is locked behind the GS. So after some consideration I have devised a way to check off more than a few boxes for a solid game loop that could be as competitive as much as the player likes without forcing them into mandatory pvp while still fulfilling that pvp style gameplay.
From Queue World… now we have New Queue. SA server lot of funs almost 1k queue and from 140 i go from 219 from nowhere kekw.
they could’ve wait for merge after update… i mean not even I believed that many ppl would come back… but now that they did DO SOMETHING!!! dont let them go again. And if new zone and great sword update be good… we will have much more players new and old coming back.
Seriously? ![]()

You are actually a troll no cap
Oh do enjoy the game. I do not enjoy the que. I was able to get on tonight for a couple of hour
s. I still hate ques.
This patch only made me want to quit this game even more. I am tired looking at how they fuck up basic things in every patch, like nobody ever tested it.
Look at it this way: would you rather get on new world and see a queue (meaning lots of people are playing) or get on and see 300 people online?
I’m having lots of fun. This patch was awesome, I love that they added the instruments. It’s a lot of fun to level and play different tunes and instruments, and of course the hunting for more music sheets.
The event is great too, I’m finally going to be able to mount some of my most valued catching. Even the soggy boot!
Can’t wait for the new dungeon!
