Can they not just use instances of existing in-game locations? It’s really frustrating that they have this instancing system working and are not using it to add cool in game areas as OPR maps

They didnt design any of the existing locations to be an evenly spaced pvp map for pvp balance, they would have to add the zone or completely redesign an existing one.

Totally agree. PvP needs more attention now.

What would everyone suggest tho?
Would be better if we imo would at least be constructive

there are a few locations that would be perfect for OPR use.

Myrkgard would make an exceptional OPR map depending on where you placed the forts. Restless Shore town would be awesome with a few barricades. So many areas…

Playerbase for an entire year: We desperately need some PvP Updates.

AGS: We hear you! Here is a new Expedition!

Cross server opr first and then… maybe fully equalized mode? Everyone scaled up to 625. That could be a special mode (viable if cross server) or general improvement like scaling to 600 but 600 is so low that anyone at 600 will be most of the time 2 shotted by higher gs guys ;p Like, I’m 615gs and In recent month or 2 I fought in the opr maybe 2 people that wasn’t 2 shotting me (they were probably the same gs as me).

Nah son this is not a PvP game

I’d settle for them actually balancing PvP. Been a mess since Brimstone, PvP is basically dead except war.

A pvp -on server with no flag off outside safezones afterall this is a 3 faction war sandbox!

And for all the normal pvp-optional servers…
More pvp maps like war and opr.
More world pvp quests.
More pvp objective scenarios like cap the flag
Cross server pvp for faster queue times.

Give us something anything, pvp has the real replay value. Once you beat a dungeon in pve, you dont get much excitement to do it again. But in pvp every battle is unpredictable and nuanced.

It’s going to be a long time before you get another big PVP update, the game has plenty of PVP game modes in the game, OPR, Arena, Wars, Open world, PVP missions. Whereas the PVE only has a couple of dungeons and 1 invasion.

I think the devs will be mostly doing PVE content this year due to that’s what 98% of the player base wants and needs. I think this year the devs have said they will be adding new maps for Arena/OPR, ranked Arena, cross-server Arena/OPR, and leaderboards. I think I heard somewhere they might be doing a practice 50v50 war mode too.

I doubt a 1v1 Arena will ever be added due to the difficulties in trying to balance it, everyone would just go spear and CC lock the enemy till they are dead, which wouldn’t be fun.

I keep hearing people in these forums speculate this but is this assessment really true?

I think an update to the PvP track or adding more items to the faction vendor or adding a new pvp vendor that trades in salt would be a good addition.

PvPers need a way to earn a decent number of umbral shards, gold, and loot.

Stopped playing OPR when they became boring, no variation to tactics, map, outcomes.

  • adjust PvP Track.
  • adjust Arena rewards
  • make items Out of OPR chests boe
  • start balancing weapons
  • give us a pvp Zone.
  • 1v1 Arena
  • new opr Maps

Im getting really bored right now

600-625 is 4% damage 1,8% def. You will get oneshotted even in 625. Group content works this way catch clump, put rends, buff allies, bomb it before they will be able to move again.

This is just false.

I agree a PVP vendor would be a great addition. Personally, I think a vendor that sells seasonal BIS gear for light, medium and heavy for each weapon type would be good. It would provide a way for pvp’ers who don’t do dungeons, don’t craft etc to be able to gear up by doing the activities/ content that they enjoy. It also provides a way for people to get different gear and try different builds/ weapons. It also levels the playing field for more players, meaning so those who have huge amounts of gold can’t just essentially pay to win. PVP then becomes more about skill than wallet size.

PvP took a huge hit to quality this patch, and it wasn’t exactly thriving in the first place.
