We need more bow nerfs. These changes are not enough

They did say that bow was under performing in all areas but OPR in the video. The third worst was specifically addressing arenas, in that you’re correct.

Bow, like musket, is pretty mediocre in everything except OPR stat padding. Its more efficient to bring other weapons to dungeons. It’s better to bring weapons with AoE, CC, better burst to wars. Bow is easily focused and killed in arenas because the area is small and bows advantage in range is already taken away.

Meanwhile we have weapon combos like GA/WH great for all content. FS/IG/VG great for most content. Anything that might change that status quo is quickly cried about and nerfed.

Its only day 1 but im finding the bow shots to require more skill to land this patch.

You cant just fire into a clump of red aiming in the general area and expect to make contact.
Of course it can hurt when it does make contact but perhaps this will decrease its overuse when people arent getting as much value as before.

Idk we had a war yesterday, top 7 damage dealer all bow, most with 30+Kills.
And i for example had 16% Thrust Resistance and resilient set. Still got killed in like 4 hits…

I mean i can believe it. There are some great bow players out there with great aim.

If im playing bow, im around 23% thrust resist because thats really your main enemy but i just dont feel as overwhelmed as before but it’s still early.

Maybe they all log on tomorrow lol

Not according to ZaxZax, bow players should have no problem turning me into a pincushion while repeatedly killing me with those consistent 8k headshots. :wink:

how about just get better, bow takes aim, and u bitch about bow range and not musket range lmfao

This really does feel like beating a dead horse.

There are other weapons performing well now, Honesty the game seems alright balance wise atm.

Indeed, if you ran full dex on gear and stats, with no point anywhere else, you could eventually crit for that much. But no bow player is doing that, because he’s become not even a glass canon, but a paper canon.

It used to be, and people say that was better lmao xD.

The bow used to be so hard to aim its effective range was about the distance as the blunderbuss.

I was the one guy on my sever using it as well and watching youtubers use it at the highest levels it was basically a melee weapon.

They can never undo that change because blunderbuss already has that range.

Running 50 con 460 dex i get 5.2 off a heavy on some guys. other guys in war i get anywhere between 1.5 to 4.5.

Keep in mind im using powerful honing stones and evasive tactics bonus.

I think i might have gotten 6k ish in opr on some random occasion.

and it would take maybe 2 or 3 weak hits from at IG VG FS to kill you not to mention the other classes lol bow is kinda buttocks right now.

It is not the bow that is the problem.

20% Damage Bonus light armor with rapier and perks that allow you to escape forever are the real problem.

Except for the bow you are right

Balance everything ----- True balance is only achieved when no class is fun to play…

I personally get killed by mages more because I build my resists against other thrust and mild elemental for muskets which are the real contest for my style and positioning.

That comment was pre patch and while i still get similar numbers, im landing shots less frequently.

I dont know, to me the trajectory feels different.
The arrow drop off seems more agressive but i could be imagining it.

First day of patch i went into war with no pre opr and my first thought was “lag” after missing in the first few minutes. But i slowly learnt they nerfed the hitbox and shots need to land more precisely.

Post a vod of you fighting bows so we can decide whether or not its a skill issue.
