You will never know what’s gonna happen to the server pop unless you can tell the future.
Like you will never know there will be a dupe glitch and server lose a lot of players because of that.

incorrect, they gave a free token to all and without limitation of server choice besides those who where full. The token was so you could pick a server to your prefference but it was still free…
other mmo’s still merge servers but they also require transfer a fee for those and they require subscription as well… so quite literally them giving you a free token is a handout.
and you wasting that free token is your mistake alone.
if i go and throw money out the window then i wouldnt blame gravity or the wind for it falling…

the future quite literally is not set in stone be that game or life… and you expect a free token whenever you make mistakes becourse you rushed a choice… take this as a lesson… dont rush things… wait a bit and make an educated choice…
I didnt make a mistake when I moved but stop acting like the free token was given out because of other people making a mistake. AGS made the mistake and the token was their way of trying to fix a situation they created.

Except that what you said was from your own experience. Let me tell you a story of my server transfer. I was in a mid/low pop server, transferred to a mid/high pop server (Gaunes) and 2-3 days after I did that, people from Gaunes started transferring away and now this server is pretty much dead. It has about 330ppl in peak times.
Please tell me again how this turn of events is foreseeable?
Simply the Math doesn’t check out. There way too many servers and way too few people for all of them. Not saying that new tokens should be handed out at this time (free or not) but we definitely need server merges. And after that if there is still an issue in some servers, then only in that case additional server transfers should be handed out to affected servers, not everybody.

a free token is a free token
you wouldnt expect blizzard to do the same so why expect higher treatment from a company giving you same type of product but cheaper…
following phrase comes to mind:

i quite literally expected having to pay for a transfer token, i havent used it yet as i am a calm person who bases choices upon experience and i dont expect the next token or future transfers to being free as this game has no subscription cost, only cosmetics and expansions.
this turn of events is foreseeable based upon the last 2 decades of mmo’s just look at population alone from world of warcraft how their servers are upon releases… if this is your first mmo then treat it as experience and try lookup old mmo info later to make better choices next time ^^
If blizzard said hey we opened 100 new servers go there and soon we will offer free transfers yes I would expect them to.
Thats what AGS did. I knew before buying the game that I would get a free transfer token. Not because we asked, they announced it. Did you pay attention to launch day?
I started MMOs with UO, please try and impress someone else with your vast experiences.
They should just add paid transfers. You had a free chance, you wasted it and its your fault. Free tokens would cause whole companies to move again and random servers will die. With paid transfers, only the really unhappy players will move.

If I had to guess paid tokens are a given at some point
AGS gave tokens but not to new servers nor specific ones and they didnt mention merging either. Blizzard has only offered free transfers many years after release and only to reduce high load servers mitigating towards less populated servers, this was within their interrest as server load was high.
this is a fresh mmo and you want from low to medium or high not for server load but as you made mistakes yourself.
WHERE CAN I MOVE MY CHARACTER TO?
- You can move your character to any world in your region, except:
- You cannot move your character to a full world.
- You cannot move your character to a world in maintenance.
- You cannot move your character to a world set that you have an existing character in already.
You keep telling me I made a mistake and you are talking out your ass. I joined the game 1 week after launch, knowing I could not join my friends because their server was locked. I joined a newly made server knowing I would get a transfer, transfers came out and I moved to that server with my friends.
Please add buyable tokens.
Long story short at lanuch me and multiple friends got scattered across multiple servers, we did some research and found a new server we wanted to move to, a few days in we find the new server incredibly toxic and not enjoyable at all.

That i support and respect 
mistakes can be made but there should be an option especially considering the transfers are now fixed we should soon see buyable tokens ^^

mind your language and accept you made a mistake, that is how you move on in life, i made the mistake conversing with a stubborn person and i linked the direct response from the company to correct your false claims regarding merges. i will now conclude this conversation as it has turned immature and isnt constructive.
Just merge the servers and make it fun find all servers that have roughly the same active numbers and make them fight.
And when you are done get rid of the stupid gold tax on everything as you will merge the servers to what effect? Players will still quit over tax and broken content and bugs.
People have been banned for creating characters to “check out servers” - the process to rectify it is horribly slow. This isn’t a viable option right now.

Well. I still have my token and the reason for that is… I stopped playing because what has come to pass was very foreseeable if you have an IQ over 80 lol.
I mean let’s be honest. There is more wrong with this game than there is right. When you have a game which was very very clearly #1) Pushed out b4 it was completed. #2) Released with a plethora of known bugs that were first reported in the betas. #3) Was designed at it’s core code/mechanics to be a different type of game then changed to another type without actually changing the original underlying code/mechanics to match the new direction. Well then it becomes a pretty clear picture that NW was doomed to fail at the start.
The real issue all of you have is none of you remaining has the spine to do what the rest of us have already done… Which is just walk away. Now I’m not saying “Quit and uninstall the game forever”. I’m just saying “Put the game down for a bit”. The lower their population numbers dive the more pressure they will be under to actually fix the game.
As it sits right now with so many of you blind fan boys continuing to log in padding their numbers what incentives do they actually have. This isn’t some small niche Indie company. Make no mistake AGS has the Triple AAA funding/backing which means at the end of the day all they really care about is numbers and dollar signs… that is the only thing companies like these know and/or understand. I guarantee you there are workers/analysts for AGS/Amazon who are already working the number on if they just retain the X Amount of Fan Boys who will continue to play no matter what state the game is in they can expect to accrue Y Amount of dollars from the cash/cosmetics shop.
So basically what I’m saying is those of you who continue to play knowing full well how bad the game is being developed and handled are the same people who are going to turn this into “Activision NW” and this will just be another “Activision WoW” type of garbage.
Don’t need/want/or care for a handout. They said they are working on mergers but are taking their time so they don’t screw things up. That itself is totally fine, but in the meantime let me buy a token if I don’t want to wait or take a break while AGS figures out what the heck they are doing with mergers. It’s either that, they move faster, or people take a break from a brand new game making the situation even worse.
You don’t need to defend AGS man. Fully aware I chose the server I transferred too. I picked it based on some of my friends being there and it being extremely active. That changed and AGS has no time frame on a fix. We know transfers work and are possible, so for those of us with the money/lack of patience, let us buy one. That’s all I’m saying.
For tokens, I said let me buy one. I moved to a server with a steady 1500 pop. Then AGS paused transfers and things were great. Soon as they opened again the server dropped to 200-400. Idk if it’s just moves, gold bots, dupers or what. The server was poppin. Idc if I get a free one, I’m more than willing to pay for one.
Merged a few replies here and tried to remove the salt lol. Just been getting frustrated and attempted to constructively (my opinion of course) vent/propose something in the forums hoping it would get some AGS attention.
Ultimately I just want what everyone else wants in the game, the ability to play it and have fun. And until they do the merges they discussed in the forums 4 days ago or until they allow the purchase of (or give more freebies 
) for tokens, many of us have a limited ability to “have fun” because we can’t find groups to do anything and solo mmo is not that fun after a short period of time.

I agree with the OP this is needed. I transferred in the first few minutes the service was available.
To be sincere, I did it ASAP fully expecting a fiasco.

Turns out companies left Camelot, and mass people and companies from a land 6100 miles from server populated my server speaking another language. My server choice intent was to play with people regional(for latency performance ), and that speak my language(duh so I can not have a difficulty thrust on me making the game unenjoyable). There is so much Global Chat hate speech being thrown about from both cultures its tough to bear.

I expected some people to leave the server I was going to as well so I feel ya. I just never anticipated it going from peak 1500 daily to peak 400 lol. It’s extremely disheartening for sure
