I would love another map. 1 Match capture the flag. 1 match like soccer and can pass and score. team death match and 10v10 king of the mountain. 1v1, 2v2, 4v4. and for world bounty contracts and way better pvp missions. Cant wait to see what game mode bring down the line.
New World’s combat and visuals are a downgrade from Black Desert Online. And it’s combat system currently is more brain dead, and simpler than a tab target game like FFXIV.
Honestly New World has very little to offer outside the fact it’s a new MMO. So the people who manage to get the early advantage from glitches and exploits. Are of course going to White Knight this game till the cows comes home.
But objectively speaking, New World currently has worst performance and balance issues than Elder Scrolls Online and Black Desert Online. And that is saying a lot.

The game is so bad right now. Maybe it’s hardware specific and not everyone is experiencing the same problems, but the game is awful now. What’s most frustrating is the PvP was fine, for the most part, prior to the February patch.

Yea the desync has gotten worse, hoping they can resolve this.
They also posted on that same blog that full PvP players is not what this game is for and only PVP gamers should check other games
I honestly care more about they bringing content focused on revive the Open World PvP than creating stupid instanced arenas. If I would want instanced PvP I would be playing CSGO. MMOs stands for “Massive Multiplayer blábláblá” so let’s me fight in huge groups against others huge groups.
But that’s only my opinion.

We need small scale instanced PVP for sure. While I would prefer open world, pop is not there for it anymore and the game cannot seem to handle a thing more than 5v5… in an MMO… wow what a fail.

The Evolution of New World’s PvP - News | New World For everyone saying it’s full pvp, this game never been intended to be full loot pvp since 2 years. Edit quote : For the folks who enjoy harsh pvp environment, New world might not be the game for you
Ppl teleport during pvp, hitboxes don’t hit, some skills sometimes don’t work as intended, etc. After a few months of this, it’s not fun to play anymore.

It really isnt a constant issue tho, the system and combat feel has been improving and feeling more smooth imo, just the server desync is my only true issue

I wouldnt call it a fail, CoS server has constant open world pvp when pushing influence.
With allthe fixes and content released, you really think the game is gonna die? Explain, cus im obviously too dumb to see it like you say

Its not now, so your point is worthless! PVP needs some serious improvements. Open world pvp is nearly non existant.
Why is my statement pointless? You need some work on not being a cynic
some of us will play as long as the game exists even if there is no pvp. even if opr goes away. even if pvp flagging is turned off.
but as the game population declines, you can keep telling yourself that lack of arenas is the main reason.
