They can 100% remove the gold, upgrades, items purchased…whatever really. This same thing happened in other games and that’s all they did, well that and ban the players who exploited of course.
This would be the same as rolling the servers back. Which is what this post is asking for.
no, rolling the servers back is WAY different. It’s literally taking the server back in time…which would mean people who gained LEVELS and PROFESSIONS and who DID NOT EXPLOIT would also be punished…which is a terrible idea.

OK - but what happened if I got sent money (unknowingly) from a duper and then used that money to buy materials from TP for town board and then leveled? I have now benefited from an exploit and GAINED something because of it. Now, lets update the example where someone is knowingly transferring this to people and players are using the gold to upgrade their professions. How is this fixed?
Can you start to see how widespread an issue like this could be? (Assuming its as rampant as some are saying despite lacking proof)
Would be nice if people that make threads explain the details of the issue. So there is some coin bug or whatever I gather, what exactly is it? How is it being done?

Showing the mechanics of exploits would encourage others to use it.
On topic, I’ve been in many MMMORPGs where, inevitably, gold and item duping happens (also player radar, speedhacks, invincibility). They’ll shut it down with a patch and punish the players partaking.
There are so many gold sinks in the game that it will work it’s way out in a few weeks.
Plus, as others said, the auction houses could use some inflation with prices dropping so fast.

So… I just hit 60 a couple days ago and have made massive personal progress including rerolling my gear and farming pvp missions. I would be absolutely devastated if my progress were rolled back due to something out of my control…

They could have done other good things in bad situations and they didnt.
Would you rather have the economy of your server ruined permanently or have to spend another day or 2 working on what was reset
I made significant personal progress as well but I’d give it up in an instant if it means the health of our server stays good.
The gold sellers are loading up like crazy right now and filling their coffers.
This tends to be the case with some people, they throw random things out there and assume as if it’s just an easy or acceptable thing to do.
The people will get banned and the gold will be sorted.
The sky isn’t falling, the rivers aren’t filling with blood. people need to chill

That is statistically unlikely. To the point that it reminds me of that ‘gang initiation’ urban myth about people being murdered if they flashed their lights at a car that didn’t have its lights on.
Do you have any credible reason to believe that a random person is going to send you gold and that you will be punished for it?
None at all and it’s a very irrational belief that unfortunately I have to deal with because AGS is to busy creating gold dupes and disabling content in the game that’s actually worth playing.
Just saying there is a bug when giving coin that causes it to duplicate would of work. Looks like some have already shared more specifics on other threads.
I am familiar with doing a search, still when one makes a thread adding some information on what your talking about is helpful for those reading the thread. Thanks for the link smart ass. 
Try to stop the exploit? They haven’t even disabled gold trades, if they can’t even take that step I’m not sure how you have faith in them. I’m sure they’ll find a fix but if you don’t see how incompetent they are that they couldn’t implement bandaid fixes to stop the fix temporarily until they come up with a proper solution idk what to tell you

There is no way they can avoid a rollback. We are talking millions of gold everywhere.
The devs posted players are being banned and transaction logs are letting them undue the damage.
I logged into my server, any damage was undone, and auction house is normal (crashing prices and same items there from 24hours ago… no massive buyouts).
If a few servers are truly destroyed… roll THOSE back… NOT every server.
Log into your server before demanding rollbacks.

So you suddenly get thousands of gold, and did’nt bother to question why…and spent it all…then you deserve the punishment you receive. Gold doesn’t just fall out of the sky…if you suddenly have a surplus of it from an unknown source your first reaction should be to report it, not spend it.
Also worth pointing out that worrying about an event that hasn’t happened yet is 100% pointless. Until somebody is here talking about how they got banned wrongly or something then whats the point of all the “what if’s”. The “what if” game is literally endless, but hilariously no one ever plays the “what if” game to a possitive outcome. “What if” amazon handles this perfectly and everything is restored? If this didn’t even cross your mind then perhaps your bias is showing.
