We need to know what you have in mind

The other day on twitter I replied to a developer about a tweet about the queues that the servers were suffering and he replied that those queues were not expected during the last weekend and for the launch of Brimstone Sands they already had a plan in mind to increase the ability of the servers to alleviate queues. Seeing that the launch day of Brimstone Sands is not far away and seeing that new servers have already opened, or will open in the next few hours, I would like to ask, to see if someone can answer me, what measures are planned so there are no queues on the day of the release of the new update, because I don’t think open a new server in each region it will have much impact on the queues all servers in thouse regions, I think it would be interesting for the community to know, before that day arrives, those measures so that the attraction of new and old players can be optimized, and show confidence to the players that we have been holding the queues and that we have been playing since day one. Waiting to hear/read what you have in mind for that long-awaited day…

I believe the main avenue at this time will be more servers. They don’t want to open them too early because they don’t want 2 months of dead severs. I think they realized that they can’t wait until immediately before because the hype train started much earlier than expected. I imagine they will open a few more and feel out server sizes. Then before Brimstone Sands open a TON. They very capable of doing this and now merging servers as needed. They did that automatically with the free weekend which unfortunately had the opposite response (can’t win either way haha, people love to complain).

But if you look at prior times they did something similar, the free weekend is really the best comparison we have, they will open a TON. 20+ servers or whatever it was. Then! For those concerned about having too many, they already preemptively plan to merge them as needed. These servers are new and don’t have a merge history which is important. Remember the multiple millions of accounts that we had on release? 900k is concurrent remember but total. Those are all merged onto the current servers right now. I think they went with the idea of decoupling old accounts that have not logged in for over 6 months or whatnot but still. New severs are much easier to merge if needed.

I think they have a really good plan in place and will share it. Historically they overly compensated and opened too many do I don’t expect queues but hey I could be wrong.
