I have seen multiple posts about the same issue I experienced when I got perma.
First of all, YES, I know the devs can’t do anything and that I need to appeal. I did, 5 times, got automatic response emails saying I need to go touch grass cause what I did deserve perma. I have 1.5k hours on my Bwhahaa char on Dry Tree.
Here’s my story:
What I (think) did was that I traded with a player. I wanted to sell my rapier for 50k gold. We traded, I added the rapier and locked it, he added the 50k but the trade wouldnt go trough. I even private message him saying what is wrong and why he doesnt lock in but he had the same problem. We both locked in but trade wouldnt go trough so we cancelled. When we cancelled it seems that the 50k he added in still went trough to me even tough the trade was cancelled and the rapier I wanted to sell was still on me.
So we did the 2nd trade, where he again locked in 50k even tough I got the money the first time and I cancelled the trade.
I told him that I got the money via pm and we traded the 3rd time where I just added in the rapier without him locking any money cause as I said, the money went trough to me.
After that, like 1-2 hours after I did that trade I see a msg on my game screen saying that trading is disabled.
There was an exploit with this, that I didnt know about. I only did one trade and that was for 50k. As far as I know it was a fair trade for me, I got the 50k, the guy got the rapier I was selling.
We need to raise an alarm for this stupid things that can be easily verified. All I did was… making a trade. I mean I’m fighting to get justice because their game was broken so I have to suffer.
If this is indeed what happened then you have a very easy appeal…
Because of course when you learned he still had the 50k AND you had the 50k you filed a bug report right? Oh, you didn’t? Well that means you knowingly tried to profit 50k from an exploit with your friend.
If you filed the report then you have a reason for appeal.
If you did as you said and KNEW for a fact 50k was duped in a trade you were in and didn’t report it, then enjoy your perma ban.
But seriously tho. I don’t know the exploit. So don’t know how easy it would be to accidently do it.
If it is easy to unknowingly do it I feel for these players.
It’s gonna be really hard for these people to get their account back and it is really frustrating.doing so.
For anyone who accidently experienced this glitch I feel for you I really do. Exploiting isn’t a thing if you unknowingly use a glitch.
What I will say is that I play the game a lot (thousands of hours) in all aspects (crafting, pve and PvP) and I have never come across a dupe so I don’t understand how there are numerous players coming out on the recent exploit saying they unknowingly duped.
How could I have known that the guy still had the 50k on him? I just thought, because we cancelled the trade that he traded me the 50k again cause we clearly cancelled the 1st one so I just wanted to be fair with him and give him the damn rapier.
I understand your point. All I did was a trade. Didn’t do anything specific. I dont think I have ever spoken with that guy, I unknowingly duped… but just not for me.
You canceled the trade AND … This is important here … AND the 50k still went into your hand from a canceled trade…
No one, let me repeat, NO ONE INNOCENTLY GETS 50K DROPPED IN THEIR HAND AND DOESN’T REPORT IT IN A GAME KNOWN FOR PEOPLE DUPING.
YOU got 50k from a canceled trade.
YOU kept the 50k (doesn’t matter what you did after that) without reporting it.
YOU could have reported it right then and there when 50k magically dropped into your hand. YOU KNEW IT WAS A DUPE.
You are involved enough in gaming to be on the forums. Forums where people have complained about dupes FOR A YEAR. AND you expect people to believe you didn’t realize you had a dupe when 50k magically went into your pocket from a canceled trade.
Never been on forums before lol. Never experienced an exploit, didnt even realised it was an exploit so I just went on with it, patting myself on the back that I did a good thing and didnt scam the guy (I had no idea that the 50k that I got from him actually never left his account, how could I have know that), a thing I could have easily done. Believe what you want
Live and learn dude, next time you benefit from something that obviously isn’t intentional provide a report and post it in the forum’s.
If I ever accidently have this happen to me, best believe I will be on here letting everyone know there is a problem and messaging the moderators urgently so they can notify the devs before it becomes endemic.
Anyone on here who has played the game long term knows how devastating these are.
Everyone suffers bar the few that do it and get away with it.
from the way the exploit was working. the gold was probably duped. he still had the gold that you got. so you did dupe even if you didn’t know about it.
With the plethora of i was wrongfully banned threads atm Ill be honest i dont believe any of these people i will be fair and say there is a sliver of possibility amazon might have banned someone incorrectly
They made it clear when these exploits were discovered anyone tried to play with it tinker in it any way size shape or form would catch a ban and now all of a sudden WOE IS ME they got banned
Amazon made it clear in 1 of their posts i believe these people are temp banned until they can 100% confirm they intended to exploit the bugs But theres alot of people who are trying to play this off with the innocent puppy eyes look and deep down they know its bs lol
If i was a lesser man id be in every single one of these i got banned threads cackling at them but ill have some restraint and only do it in this one Bwahahah
Everyones good with the result of extra free gold or items that they know wasnt legit until oh damn amazon is checking up on those lil freebies
While being on the outside and looking in it may seem that every post is an illegitimate plea. I would kindly invite you to actually read my thread and tell me your thoughts.
I would also like to add that while the bug was present, no one, unless they intended to do so, knew what would happen when trading coins player 2 player.
I saw it thats why i noted the sliver of possibility its was a mistake on amazons part i cant sit there and hover over everyone that im 100% certain that all are guilty because its true theres a chance some arent
But there is far too many threads of people claiming they were wrongfully banned for me to believe their all legit I dont know the truth of your particular situation
How ever i do firmly believe alot of people found out about this shit and tried to see what they could get away with like in the past exploits and
I rarely use the player to player trade system my self mostly out of fear of the notion something might come back to haunt me
Your particular situation i cant pass judgement on Just like i cant really pass judgement on everyone elses while i dont believe the vast majority of them it doesnt mean their all guilty Im just skeptical Iv seen plenty of bull shit in the game where people did shit that was sketchy even my self at times when it came to mobs and chests
So if i were to log in and be banned my self it is what it is i know deep down i havnt been a saint when it comes to PvE and i took advantage of some things that were questionable and i knew deep down if i caught a ban because of them id have no one to blame but my self despite my opposition to the exploits and duping all of that jaz i hate all of that shit
