I just watched a small snippet of a dev video. Y’all days wearing shirking fort or resilient on light armor? Are you kidding me??? Light armor users get basically one tapped by anything. And you want to weaken it even more!? Who the heck makes these decisions. They need to be fired from the decision making process.
So nerfing is not exactly what is happening. You guys miss the point.
You will still be able to play your fun light build but instead of 19.5% fortify if u dodg an attack with 5 shirking forts u will most likely get up to 18% fortify if you are light.
That is the most needed update since the release.
Tell me why you should get 19.5% fortify in the scenario above when u dodge twice as much the distance and do twice or even three times the much of dmg then a heavy player?
The fortify heavy and light get is the same but the effect on a light player is tremendous.
Don’t come here and ruin a perfect try to balance combat. Appreciate the trying, test it on the PTR.
I don’t know if any of you crafted BIS light set and spent a tons load of money for that set, I don’t even care.
Shirking fort. can be a little nerfed but more problem is dmg output when u wear heavy. Your dmg is still very high when u wear few specific weapons (GS, SnS etc.) and ur defence is also very high. When u will lower light defence u should also lower heavy/mid attack.
Shirking fortifcation on light armor is probably too strong. You can get up to 70% mitigation while wearing light armor, which is comparable to the base mitigation of heavy armor.
I don’t think light armor is a problem, really. Bows/muskets are hard to catch because of their innate haste, which should be removed.
Light doesn’t deal much more damage than the other armor classes. I know the know the tool tip says 20% more damage than heavy and 10% more damage than medium, but post mitigation the numbers are more like 7-14% and 5-7%, respectively.
So why is it any issue when these perks stacked up equal the base mitigation. Can’t the heavy user just do the same and be double? Imo shirking fort is just a cringe perk and should never of been added to the game. Atleast give it an actual cd ffs
Why mele do have mele slow applied when do connect? And why range do have slow after each attack. Remove both then we can make deffensive armor perks scale with armor type.
It is. But its also to strong in general. And cap is 50%. Game should not allow any type of armor to ignore 50% of dmg. But on this one i agree it should be like max 15% on light, 20% on medium and 30% on heavy.
It literally does, I can’t even count the times a light hatchet/greatsword user has rolled in to a crowd of peps hacking and slashing to kill, then roll out and survive. The same with light mages, Blunderbuss, etc. it literally happens all the time.
