Weakening light armor

No you cannot. DR caps are at 40%, and armor values seen to be independent now of absorb mechanics, meaning their values have a great impact on the situation. Light armor does not need more nerfs, If this happens i will move the players to call for the termination of david hall and scott lane.

This is 65% mitigation with sub 600 GS light armor.

Go do it in pvp, at level 60 in open world now.

You’ve never hit a healer for like 3k and then they fortify and now you are doing less than 2k?

The math of that statement does not add up to what you said.

There are “rulesets” to every situation, NPC vs player, player vs player in open world, and player vs player in an instance. They do not follow the same rulesets for damage reduction.

It does, and i accept the correction. I am confused because it contradicts what i know about the game and i pay close attention to patch notes. I question internally if this is a bug of somekind, but if its not we need to have a talk about why the caps were removed and about restoring them.

That was from a game 3 months ago and it’s still the same today. It’s been like this for a long time, if not always.

Its not light armor issue. Its max fortify issue.
But in case of fortify i agree we should have different caps for different armor types. But not in case of resilient.

And on top in general fortify cap is to high.

I have never liked resil on light, i have always favored freedom over it.

Yes because left clicks and sitting in sacred so fun.

To be fair LA was buffed from what is was originally. In a mass brawl yes LA is going to go down a lot quicker that its counter part, but in 1v1 and small skirmish it is a big advantage.

As HvY user, in 1v1 against LA unless you get lucky, you are not going to down them, they need to make a mistake in reality for you to stand any chance. I just don’t bother in OPR with those sought of engagements.

Yes it was, and it was great. It was not enough. I have been advocating for more for a long time.

Fortify on Light Armour reduces dmg by much more than on Heavy armour because it’s a percentage of dmg instead of a flat number.

e.g.

If you hit heavy armour with a wpn and it does 2000 dmg, and it is reduced by 20%, that is a reduction of 400 dmg,

That same hit on light armour, and it does 3000 dmg, the reduction is now 600.

Thats why numers should be adjusted for armor type. But only for this perk. No reason to touch resilient.

Or just make it “increase base armor stats by x %” and be done with it lol.

with Stoneform and Defy Death ready there is no risk, and that’s how it’s been going for some time
