Weakening light armor

Lets make it simple. If you are light and mele does look at your direction, you have to explode and die in pain!

no lets make it balanced, and if you are light and with a bow / musket / firestaff in either weapon slots and you do get melee swinged you should be fecked, coz if a melee swings you you fecked up HARD with either of theese weapons in your hand!

If you equip range weapon in light armor you should get 90% movment penalty.

that aint balanced in my opinion, thats just 1 sided view. that would make ranged weapons unplayable for those who like it.

But for sure they should get a huge penalty when they getting catched

Character is deleted for eternity.

 haha

You might annoy some people because you are making sense. I agree that light armor is not the main issue, but the weapons being used with every armor without drawbacks.

This is a fair point. however, MED users by default have reduced stamina on dodge. It’s only 10 but this has the same armor perc as light. So as light may travel a bit farther during dodge from being 1 hit most times. It also means we can’t dodge and then perform an instant attack unless ranged(maybe some abilities with a leap as well). I stopped playing as much PVP because the tables shift so much it’s hard to retain your build. The one thing that has been a constant is either weight being almost heavy or heavy with a Brute build. We had our fair share of OPR-dominating Asisaisan builds(ice gauntlet to slow then slaughter, shield bash followed by BlunB kills, and more). As mentioned for an idea in this forum before, a change in MAP layout changes everything. Going in not knowing what build is going to be ideal every time would make an impact on many things. The option to respec is possible before starting, well maybe just increase OPR-based class changes.

Despite these things I just have some fun and try not to get mad. At the end of the day, paper hates scissors, scissors hate rock and rock hates paper. So the build killing you may be getting killed by another.

Light is not op anymore, it just have it place for some pvp modes and playstyles… mostly for playing solo. Medium and heavy are much better for group gameplay, as wars or premade oprs. If they are ever going to make ranked pvp arena you will always see medium more then light.

Also it goes down to preference, if i’m forced to play medium or heavy i’ll just stop playing as many others, light gameplay it’s much more fun and skill based

Same. I have a medium set, but I just don’t like playing medium. It’s just not as fun.

The biggest concern I have about these light armor changes. Is not shirking fort. It’s nerfing resilient. Like why? Outside of light melee. Resilient is what keeps light armor users alive tbh and even then they can be 1 to 2 shot… but sure let’s make them 1 shot 100% of the time while at full health🙄. I’m bow spear player. And I’m worried about the resilient nerfs cuz if they’re nerfing it then why even have light armor pieces in the game anyway? To me it feels like they are trying to force everyone to play the zombie combat melee builds🤡 thus doing away with the inclusiveness of other builds in the game

I stopped being concerned once I watched the Q&A. I’m going to try my best pushing against the changes, but if they don’t change anything before it goes live, I’ll be gone for good. The only playstyle that is fun for me is not supported anymore and gutted heavily with every single patch. Devs are clueless and that will never change.

Light dodge is 50.

40 if you are a dex player. 50 for everyone else.

Ok that same principle applies for heavy armor?

The best build I’ve found so far at chasing is great axe (with bloodlust) and the GS. Eat zephyr cakes.

You can catch up to anyone. However, a bow with zephyr cakes or a hatchet with zephyr cakes can possibly still run away if you don’t pin them down. No one else can really escape.

They need to nerf the bow’s mobility. I’m not sure about the hatchet.

light dex dodge is 40. I play dex it crystal clear above. Yeah all those feared heavy dex players they are everywhere apparently.

actually no you don’t say anything about dex and neither does Timayy. A heavy armor user could have 150 dex as well so that makes your whole argument invalid. Timayy is correct that heavy and light have the same doges, medium is the only one with extra.

Notice where I state “I”?

I hope it’s nerfed into the dirt next to paladins. I can always change builds yet again.

You all and those imaginary heavy dex users. Sure you could have 150 dex in heavy, but I am going to bet you don’t 100 percent of the time in the current game build.
