I know it doesnt sound like a serious weapon idea, and thats because it isnt.
But hear me out
Every great game always had such a good troll weapon or mode, and i think new world needs to introduce the rubber chicken to help some of our try hard sweatlords have a laugh from time to time.
The rubber chicken could take up a weapon slot, but doesnt have a skill tree or weapon mastery like all the other weapons.
I think its sole ability would be a ranged throwing attack with a very inaccurate spread of where it may go, like if you are running and shooting in a game of counterstrike, BUT if you hit your opponent or a mob, give them a 5 second stun that gets canceled upon recieving damage.
I could see this being really funny in an opr if you are a musket player getting chased by some blood thirsty bruiser, OR, you just want to throw a rubber chicken at a musket player that has been annoying you all game.
Rubber chicken can only be looted from supply stockpiles to give us a reason to run those chests again.
Im just saying, once this gets introduced to the game and recieves mass positive feedback, ill be waiting for my job offer AGS.
funny idea, great concept and I do like it lol but let’s try not to ask for extra added stuff, new stuff, new bugs and ntm I’d love to see IF they ever fix the 100’s of other issues plaguing NW atm, I’d suggest rubber rabbits…I think we’ve all killed enough damn rabbits to have EARNED a free funny weapon like that hahahahahahahaha
I wouldn’t mind more novelty skins/models of weapons.
Tier 2 soaked Gaxe is a shovel, T2 soaked WH is an anchor.
It would be nice if they gave me a turkey leg to wield as a hatchet - maybe a rare drop off Turkulon this year?
Would be nice for the RP side of the game to have a torch ( 1h sword skin? ).
When I first played WoW yeeeaaarrss ago I was unaware of what “RP Server” meant. I joined one and my first interaction with another player was outside the starting area. They held a torch and walked me through the initial storyline like a narrator, it was pretty cool.
Also you could fish up a fish that was a sword (not like the “Fish Sword” salvage item you get in NW ). I had another fish offhand so it looked like I was dual wielding fish. Happy times
