Weapon Recommendations for Player new to PvP

Hello,

I have about 700 hours in NW but 99% of that is Solo PvE content. I am really interested in getting into 3v3’s and OPR but everytime I try; I play a few rounds, get slapped around, switch to new weapons, repeat cycle.

So for someone who is utter garbage at PvP who wants to learn how to become a useful asset to their team in OPR and 3v3’s; what weapon combos/builds would you recomend. I’m looking for something that is viable and also fun to play, not necessarily what is OP at this current time, as that will change every patch cough Firestaff cough

Heavy armor 250 int, 250 con. IG/VG. most useful build. Ice wall the gates on the out post. Scream clumps. If your team has no melee, put on a firestaff and just pad.

play med rapier/spear if u want to try melee

spear is easiest melee wep for new player as it gives u lots of stamina so u can dodge more than other wep.
rapier just gives u 3 get out of jail card which will save u and let u runaway when u are in bad situation

to learn about dodge, try to solo the levitan or smaller brute in the SM mine area.
if you can learn the mob’s attack pattern, u can solo it with spear only.

Ok I will look into that, time to farm Thorpe for a few hours since my VG and IG are at 0 mastery (started a new Ironman character) thanks!

Ok awesome, thank you for the tips! I havent tried spear before so ill definitely give it a go.

For the 3 get out of jail cards for the rapier. Thats Riposte, Fleche, and what the 3rd? Evade?
