there is around 1% skilled people in this game , so 1 out of 100.
but not per every server coz they tend to go same servers.
and there is 0.1% talented players.
so one from 1000 .
more then 50% of them play bow.
so there is your answer.
be the best bow player on most servers.
thats the highest skill ceiling weapon.
You didn’t have anything relevant to say in the first place. You posted specifically looking to start shit. And now you’ll run with your tail between your legs, keep lying to yourself that you ever had anything relevant to add to the topic’. And you’ll keep answering because you want desperately the last word.
The issue with the bow isn’t the skill gap, it’s just how safe the weapon is. People in OPR sit 20m away from point just spamming left click, it isn’t enjoyable gameplay to play with or against.
For real, there are many times that I have used just the sword without the shield so im unbothered by the weight restriction, its a great gap closer and very nifty for landing a few light attacks since its one of the easiest to land and paired with Empowered Leaping Strike it hits hard but I always revert back to adding the shield because the half attributes on sword alone always becomes an issue that I can’t overlook
Also, it’s probably easier to talk about which weapons have the lowest skill ceiling. And that used to be SnS Pre-Nerfed paired with Hatchet / BB / Warhammer. Thank goodness they got rid of that. Don’t care for the kill guarantees that it had on ranged players. It created a playstyle where they would just disengage and wait for CD’s to come back up if Leaping Strike missed or if their combo didnt finish off the enemy.
The next lowest skill ceiling is any DPS weapon paired with a pocket healer. There are no mistakes to be punished, it’s like having training wheels for PvP.
With the influx of new players I’ve seen a lot in OPR. Some of them are decent but I’d say their GS are below 600 based on how hard they hit me even when I’m in 50 con. Although yes you are right, skill does play an issue in a lot of things however so does gear loadouts. I got riposted 2x in less than 10 secs, I know because I cancelled the first riposte with berserk and the 2nd one caught me off-guard.
If you solo daily, then you do understand how difficult it is to communicate with people not on discord? Queuing in OPR as a solo player, and getting teamed up with people who do not communicate is extremely hard. You cannot force people to communicate with you if they don’t want to.
Point fighters, usually GA/WH. Basically people in a clump.
Let me clarify, it’s not on the healer themselves being applied to but to clumps. The purpose of it is to secure kills, and you can’t just drop an SG. It’s to negate the SG and if you manage to get someone low enough (as the requirement for Plagued Crits) they won’t get healed back to full hp instantly. The debuff can still be removed by a healer’s heavy but at least it gives a window of opportunity for the opposition.
That’s not heals being OP - it’s the low HP pools. Having naturally low ttk makes healing unduly impactful such that one almost always can swing a whole group fight
