Weapons are currently well balanced in PvP

This is unrelated to my point, which I’ve explicitly outlined in my original post

You switched from one build to another and say I’m wrong about the overall weapon balance - how are these two related?

They have destroyed great axe and hammer. I gave up on a class i played since laubch, and grabbed somehting that is not destroyed.

Not balanced. Musket and hammer have been gutted. Great axe is very bad.

Bow and firestaff are very overtuned…

Maybe the ithers are balanced?

on my side I find that the GS is “ok”, but far behind spear, bow, fs, bb. same for sns.
the hatchet has become useless.

I never played great sword until a few weeks ago. It has been eye opening how mych dmaage and flow there is. I feel like a god compared to great axe and hammer.
Cant inagine how it felt before gs “nerfs”

Im not 100% on the fs and bow being broken. I think other weapons being brought up would fix that disparity. Higher functionality, better usability, and defenses for the greataxe would do wonders for changing the landscape.

When i was light armor sns gs i used to beat 90% of all heavy sns tanks in pvp, just dodge bash and its prity much over if you know what your doing.

gamewise speaking, a tank should be able to well… TANK* atleast one player to death, its the role, you can always use a hammer to beat down on heavy sns users.

However as it is now, at 310 con, pure tank spec you cant even out tank 2-3 people… and if you go offensive tank you cant even kill 2 people if you play correctly.

overall tank is really hard to play and really terrible, if u gonna play melee you must go hatchet/sns with gs in light armor.

You think?

Been discused before, fighting fresh 60s who have bad gear when you yourself have bis and are experienced then ofc you can 2v1 or even 4v1, i win arena sometimes 3v1 myself but not against equally geared and skilled players,

you CANT* 2v1 atm as a tank if its equal gear and skill.

They will be TOP often because they don’t die - So they are in the fight longer and pad(I do this, I might be top 5 but i;m not really factoring into the win. The MVPs are the healers and melee who take the point.
If you rush an outpost and bow users flee you get a few points for the capture if you live and the bow users keep plunking away at range padding. You took the fort but feel like you lost because the ranged escaped and got more kills in the process.
The guys fighting on the point need to be rewarded exponentially more then ranged fighting from safety.

The map is designed for the ranged class. Not only can we see forever we can escape forever. No river at our backs to deal with etc. Escape is always in 4 directions.

Do you really believe this? Have you actually seen someone use a SnS heavy in OPR and not get completely demolished? I hit heavy armor players for ~2k in the back with the SnS or hatchet. Are they killing you in arenas? Use a FS with rapier that has penetrating backstab.

I feel like people are playing different games or EU is a lot different than US or something else.

At this point I think people are trolling and have low play time of this game or games in general and do not understand what balance means.

Why you look at OPR? OPR is 20 vs 20 randoms. No matchmaking, nothing. Tons of ppl are there to get gypsym and they AFK after that. Some are pve and do pve. Other will afk moment you team get pushed to own fort.

How you can use OPR to tell if ballance is ok or now?

If anything look arena. And on arena i see all types of builds except musket.

Light, medium, heavy mele of all types - hatchet, spear, rapier ,ss, wh, ga, gs - all in use.

Light and medium mages - fs, ig, vg, bb - all combinations

Healer? Sure plenty of them.

Bows? Sure. Bow/rapier, Bow/spear or even Bow/ss and Bow/GS

And wana know who is winning? Better team. I have seen 3 mages owning other team with no deaths and saw full haevy and full mele only with no healer destroying range teams to 0.

Can you explain what’s broken about the current balance?

Then you should know that bruiser was the strongest build in the game for that entire period of time lol

God, this is almost as bad as the guy saying all you need is 5 elemental aversions and 50% fire resistance and then the fire staff is barely hitting you for 2k!

Eu is alot different.

I know the opposite.

People complained about bruiser in opr as it was the tip of the spear and the source of the kill, even though the healer and vg behind him allowed that damage and kill.

Ags saw the complaint… checks damage numbers… yep bruiser does too much damage… without a thought into how the vg allowed it.

Bruiser has been and continues to be one of the weakest builds for any content other than war. It is only strong when paired with healers and vg support… which is as it should be, and was good for the game.

What is not good for the game is solo classes needing no other synergies from anyone going 40:0 in oprs and ruling dueling space and kill and damage charts in opr and invasions.

Bruiser was well balanced and needed other classes to excel, they should have sought to replicate that interdependence among classes ( heal, vg support, bruiser) rather than dismantle it.

Sonehting like adding an oil pot arrow to bow and have fire staffs ignite it for big dps.

There will always be solo classes that do high damage but offer no utility. This isn’t a new thing. These ranged weapons have top kills because that’s their job. To finish off players. It’s also not hard to kill steal as a ranged weapon.

If you look at how arena is, there are plenty of other solo classes across all armor weights and weapons that need no synergy that do very well

Nope. Bruisers are very good on arena. Builds is as good as player that plays it. If player is no skill with no brain, there is no build that can make up for him.
