@TrevzorFTW @Luxendra @NW_Mugsy - Please urge the game team to label this as a Critical issue and work on this ASAP. It’s literally progress-blocking, and has no solution at the moment.

Honestly it should be posted in bug, considering it says level 50 quest in the journal. It is is a level 60 group quest. I wonder if the reward is even a level 60 reward. I bet it is not.
I was thinking about not turning in my quest to go back and help other people that are progression blocked. I know tons of people that quit the game because of this bug.
@Inflame and @VonKrakke maybe you guys could put a bug post together to get their attention.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but this isn’t the end game rapier you’ll use. The well guardian is lvl 60, which means his GS drops cap out at 510-515. You probably wouldn’t even use it over the faction rapier tbh.

This is a very real issue because majority of people on my server already have done this. My clan mate has been trying for 3 days to find group with no luck. We would gladly help but are unable. Not to mention the boss is stupidly tanky for a story mission. Even with 10 people this story boss takes well over 10 minutes.

The rapier would drop based off your water mark and the perks are why I’d use it over the other currently available ones. I’d rather use a lower gs rapier with beneficial perks in pvp than a high one with mediocre perks.

That’s not how it works, it drops based off of your watermark plus mob levels. Lvl 60 mobs cannot drop above 515 or so, it doesn’t matter what your personal watermark is.
Source: I’m WM capped on every armor and weapon slot. Have been for weeks.

It’s already created a bottleneck for people on my server. Impossible to progress this quest without bugging the guardian.
He needs to be a strong mob, but not this strong.
It’s a named drop, so watermark doesn’t apply here (I think)
Fix this already. We have people leveling still. Let’s not leave them behind.

Just so you know, 2 weeks is far too much to wait to play with my friends, me and other 7, due to be blocked in different steps in the game, having no literal way to play togheter, we just quitted and moved on to other games where we can actually play togheter.

This is very poor design and simply illogical and a huge oversight. This is a MMO which means we want to play together. But the game prevents this in such quests. I know 2 of such quests yet which block you out once you’ve done them and you cannot help anyone after. Please adjust this with the next patch.
This is essential to progress and playing together.
Main quest design should always be newbie friendly if you want an mmorpg to continue to attract new players. Players should be allowed to return to help new players period. No one should be stuck on the main quest.
