Welp. I'm not gonna make a big deal about it, but... I quit. 🤷‍♂️

I had a lot of fun getting from 1 to 60. The world is very pretty. Combat was fun while learning how to play with a few of the weapon types. The story was engaging when I thought there would be more details. But everything since then has been a slog, so I’m just not gonna do it anymore. :man_shrugging:

The quests and enemies are all nearly identical, I don’t like how Expeditions, the Trading Post, the Inventory system, or PvP work, and the weapons are extremely imbalanced, to the point where there’s really no reason to ever use a Spear or Musket.

I stopped playing when “transferring player wealth” was turned off a few weeks ago, because I got stuck in Everfall with full Inventory and Storage and no way to sell any of it. Now, there will be literally no point to any gameplay once you’re at level 60 besides Farming Watermarks.

I played for over three hundred hours, so I got my money’s worth. I’m not salty. But I am disappointed.

A lot of players feel the same way. Some of us have better experience with the game, others much worse. But the suicidal spiral of trying to “fix” things by piling up braindead grind upon braindead grind has gone too far.

I’m disappointed too, this could’ve been a wonderful game for years to come. Their art teams certainly earned high praise for the visuals, world design, OST, and in-game sound. The problem was rest of the crew.

4½ weeks of being caught in limbo on a dead server, level 45, can’t get a group to do jack squat; primarily played the crafting game to begin with; seen the crafting nerfs that came in 1.1.1, now I see the slap in the face to crafting coming with this upcoming December patch. … Nope, this takes the cake. I have uninstalled the game and will not be returning. Well done @Developers

Lol you and a lot of people, AGS is nailing the coffin, and it didn’t even last a year. Spent so much effort to get my gear, and you’re telling me peeps in 510 will hit as hard as me? Xdd. No thanks.

It’s funny, I’ve paid fifteen bucks per month for a WoW subscription for a decade and a half, and with a few changes to New World’s systems, I might’ve done the same… but for some reason, things only seem to get worse, for some reason? I genuinely don’t understand their logic.

You have to compel people to play for a while, then once they’re hooked, they’re hooked. Constantly punishing people for making progress seems counter-intuitive.

Ah, well. It was fun for about two months, which really isn’t bad. :man_shrugging:
