Then you are the top of an iceberg. Our company owns WW, BW and EF and noone is BIS geared. Some people have several items but noone is that well geared, there simply isn’t so many items like that.
Jees I have 600 hours played and don’t have a single 600 lege item with ideal 3 perks yet. I do have some 600 with 2 perks but thats it. The rest is like resilient/refresh or res/ability perk 595 + but thats it.
I guess it varies a lot from server to server. Some servers are much more hardcore then the rest.
it got alot easier to craft stuff with the timeless shards. companies that own WW/EF since a long time on high pop servers have near infinite funds to buy them up and just spam crafting rolls till they get the good stuff. before that most ppl werent true BiS thats right but now its different.
with the timeless shards you can also pretty much guarantee that everything you craft is atleast sellable so you make lots of money back to buy more shards.
ye you may not have everyone have BiS on every single item ofc but they are pretty damn close.
you just force mainstat + resilience and just keep rolling. even the worst rolls will sell for like 3-4k which pays for the next shard. the remaining mats you buy or farm urself. most of those players play alot so its not that big of a problem for them.
but ye server population matters ofc. if you were on a low/medium server before merges you obviously didnt make nearly as much gold as the companies that held WW/EF since launch on a high pop server.
on mine for example we were constantly close to population cap for the first 1-1.5 months and never got merged cos we´re still over 1200 ppl during peak times and beeing over 1.6k most of the days till recently and we have companies that held WW and EF pretty much nonstop since week 2 so they are filthy rich.
yea I thought we had this discussion with someone that tried to show the 500 mirepaw warhammer versus the 600 was not that far off. They thought it was just a 5-10% difference but when you tally it together it was more like 15-30% difference on each perk plus another 30% change in dmg with the addition of a new perk.
It was night/day and im not sure why you got flamed for saying 600 gear overpowers anything under 580. Game is fundamentally broken with this system.
War needs a rework. AGS fed Everfall and Windsward millions of coin for months.
Tax revenue needs a rework. We need an apology and a full tax refund. They fucked up when they adjusted the housing tax.
We don’t need a gs increase this early. That again only caters to 1% of the player based. You guessed it the Everfall and Windsward owners that were so gracefully fed coin.
Fix the fucking desync, handle bots, rework war so we can fight back and for the love of all Aeternum adjust taxes.
i was pretty dissappointed too. i bought one of the starter packs to try the beta cos there was so much hype around it but it is really just an average themepark mmo with a different pov. it does have alot of content but nothing special or innovative in any way.
I’m not sure you have noticed, but every game pretty much does the same… they all just call them different things. Content in most games is just about getting better gear. If that doesn’t drive you, then I’d suggest playing something else.
i dont mind the pov. i play alot of PoE so thats not rly an issue to me. what breaks it for me is a couple things.
the excessive amount of hand holding. the game literally guides you to everything. your first quest, how to use waypoints, how to use emotes, how to get a horse, etc.
the very linear story, allthough high quality and well made it feels like your just following a road despite the game having an open world. the map design is also pretty dull and way too restrictive for beeing an open world.
the combat, despite having decent depth it just feels so slow and sluggish. i can see there beeing some skill ceiling, esp in pvp, since you actually have to land your abilitys and combo the right skills together to do dmg. in pve its mostly about dodging the bad stuff while still maintaining a decent uptime.
pvp beeing entirely instanced from what i could see. really not a fan of that at all.
i can totally see the game beeing successful as the raids and stuff are quite challenging and alot of casual gamers like the extreme hand holding and the total safety from pvp and a well told story. but it really feels like a game made for the younger generation of gamers that arent used to complex game mechanics and figuring out stuff by themself. ppl who prefer a fully guided gaming experience will like it tho.
but for ppl who played games like UO, DAoC, GW1 and so on i dont think Lost Ark will click.
And so now there are mutated expeditions.
New content shouldn’t be put out every month.
The only people who complain about not having new content are people with no lives playing this game. Probably kids like you!
Fewer and fewer people are going to bother griding dungeons to gain +1 more Expertise. They are bringing online a system that will alienate 99% of the players and lead to a further reduction in population.
The thing that keeps people coming back is FRESH content. 1% of the players care about some kind of dungeon scoreboard efficiency race to progress.
