What’s the motivation behind a GS bump so early?

man what server are u from?

Im on Themiscyra. Come get hammered.

Edit: I just spent 20k on a 597 weapon yesterday. Am I upset? Not in the least. Btw my company doesn’t own 1 piece if land nor have I gotten anything given to me for free or benefited from anyone but myself

ok idk that one but im on EU

You guys actually think a GS 600 person would lose to a GS 500 person…… the 600 person would have to be pretty bad

Now make that 625…… and no catch up it’s only going to get worse

but trust me, on our server ppl are geared and we have very hardcore companys that are geared and if everyone slacks 1% of their gear its going to be a huge difference when scaled up to 50 players in war

a single person? who cares.in 50v50? yea those stats are gonna matter. That more crit dmg will matter. That higher HP will matter.

Most I saw was a 3v3

So again it would seem that most peoples reaction to the GS bump increase is negative.

Bringing me back to my original question, what is AGS’s motivation for this increase so early on?

point is they are changing something that wasnt broken, the increase is way too early, as for dungeons there are other progression ways for the mutations without fking up whole GS system, its good as is

illusion of “content” the end.

yes and its too obvious, sadly will make a lot of players quit

It’s actually simple. This is to prevent duping of future BiS gear. There are actually still dupes in the game found by accident or searched for only to be replicated then reported or exploited. This is probably why they will not move upgradeable items under 600. We wouldn’t have this problem if the lumberpoo engine wasn’t so poo letting all these bugs/dupes go rampant.

So people think it’s to;

Create the illusion of new content

Or

To prevent future dupe of BIS items?

I tend to kinda more lean/ agree with the BIS items.

To me it seems like they are trying to correct some issues with current in game items and how easy it is to obtain them.

Currently you hit 60 and can just buy BIS items of the TP or have them crafted.

The TP is literally littered with gear that’s useless, and boat loads of 600GS items.

I would guess most are from some sort of duped in game mechanics in some way, gold/ items/ crafting

But the expertise system kind of corrects this.

So if that is the motivation for the GS increase it still seems like bad design to punish the player base for bad game design no?

if this is the case, thats just sad

its not easy to get bis items, there is most likely not a single person in NW with full BIs gear with bis perks, id like to see that person if he exist lol

I agree it’s not easy to get a full BIS set you want. Which again I think it would be nice to know what’s the motivation behind this GS increase so early.

I mean I know almost every MMO in the history of ever does a gear bump increase. But usually it’s done with an expansion, or some massive content additions. Not just some random patch.

They couldn’t reset the game for people who bought or crafted their gear to 600 (they mentioned trying, and it went… poorly) but they still don’t want you to be able to buy your way to the top…

  1. Buying your way to the top (600) is grandfathered.
  2. They need to raise the top in order to implement the way they ACTUALLY want you to get there.

600 the way we did it- Grandfathered. (Grind, Buy, Craft)
625 the way they want you to get there. (Grind, Craft)

yes, gs increase it also gotta come with a feeling of, “ok ive been running with this bis gear for a while now, nice to have a new content and a gear score increase so i can have new gear progression again with fresh content”
something like that

and not like “ok ive been grinding 1.1k hours and still dont have anything near full bis set and now they gonna just increase GS for me to grind more of the same content”

literally that happen with every mmo like wow or destiny with the light
