What am i doing wrong?

I got flagged and earned xp, but i don’t get any pvp level and no azoth salt. What am i doing wrong?

Yeah i thought the same thing and opened up a post about it. The wording of how pvp xp and salt is earned does make it seem like youd get them for earning any xp while flagged but that doesnt seem to be the case.

Some people are saying its just for pvp related tasks but thats not how its written.

I think you earn from OPR, Arenas, running faction missions, capping fort, and killing players. Maybe war, not sure about that one. What you might be thinking of is if you flag you earn so that when someone kills you they get salt from you. Then its like an hour before your worth salt again or something like that. This is to help prevent kill trading.

I think it’s just poorly worded and means PvP XP specifically.

The terminology used in this patch is needlessly confusing—if you invite people to do an “Arena,” they don’t know which kind you’re talking about anymore. If you control the fort with the “Global XP Bonus,” you’re not getting bonus PvP XP (there’s a separate fort for that).

So for the most part, I would just assume that if you see the term “XP” in a context related to PvP, it means PvP XP only, and anywhere else it means not PvP XP.

To get get pvp exp and salt

1 is to play opr or arenas although there is differance in the amount for winning and losing as well as a cap

2 open world pvp kills. the longer they are alive the more reward you get. You have kill the downed player or else you get nothing

3 is pvp faction mission and forts caps

So somehow I actually got 1500 salt from discovering a new location while walking around. Not sure why that happened. didn’t get any PVP Xp just salt…very weird.

OK…not to keep beating this topic down but I just got two open world pvp kills and gained zero pvp xp. I did gain some salt though…I truly do not understand how this is supposed to be working.

You do get 1500 salt and supposedly pvp reward track for exp gained while flagged though I didn’t notice my reward track go up only the salt. You get this for each increment of 10k exp gained while flagged turning in quests in sanctuary’s doesn’t affect that 10k total.
