So with New World going through a slow state I wanted to take the time to try and drop a bit o hopium out there for everyone. With an expansion pack on the horizon, this means we could finally see some major new features, content updates, weapons, and so much more. So with that in mind what would you want to see? Try to keep the list a bit short but don’t be afraid to go deep so the devs really know what we expect.
My list:
- Mounts with a combat system tied to it, wagons to transfer items, and perhaps guild mounts.
- A better company system! One that is fleshed out with specific features like a guild hall, shared storage, unique armor skins that show the company crest, titles specific to companies only, and general QoL updates to companies.
- At least three new zones each one with 5 or more quest chains in each. It’s an expansion and as we saw in Brimstone one zone will only keep people’s attention for Maybe a week,
- Flying monsters and more landscapes that use elevation to their advantage! Cave systems to explore, mountains to climb, and large islands to travel to and from.
- Swimming! Perhaps boats also but that is asking for a lot.
- A more dynamic weather system! Have it rain, storm, or snow in every zone! Maybe even tie in a corrupted storm or angry earth storm that creates a unique event in the area.
- Invasion overhaul! Let me fight all the enemy types in Invasions to keep it fresh!
- Update the portal system, for example, the Varangians are setting up camps to push a city and siege it. They function exactly like portals but are themed to patch the Varangians!
- More permanent random world events! There are a few small-scale ones in the map currently but lets take this concept and ramp it up to 11. Have a massive dragon that has been altered by the angry earth crash into Everfall and if players don’t come to stop it the city is borderline inaccessible. Dont be scared to make the world feel real and alive by threatening cities (for temporary events)
- More OPR maps and modes and Arena class queuing to help with balance!
