What is the key premise to balancing weapons?

Why do you like CC so much?

Did you do any market research or was this just some friend of Bezos dream?
Why doesn’t 24/7 faction vs faction vs faction War Mode exist?
Why is the weapon expertise grind so high?
Why cant I change my hair/face/height/weight?
Why cant I tell if the heals/abilities are friendly or enemy?
Why do I have to pay $15 to transfer servers?
Why are there so many bots?
Why cant I swim?
Why are there no hippos?
When will we get new weapons?
When will we get the War Mode?

Alas more questions yet would be nice to get some of these answers. Wondering if we have to wait for another dev video or ideally they would do it in some other medium. I can some of these common questions have been asked and unanswered for over 6 months!

Good question regarding open world PvP. I wish, so very much, this game had a system like DAOC’s New Frontiers and/or ESO’s Cyrodiil for PvP in the open world. Real, meaningful territory changes complete with competitive and intense keep battles.

I did finally run into the fort bug where if there are 50+ people in a fort that the game will literally kick you back to the main town. Was told that this bug has been in the game for a long time now, but that might explain why they don’t want to make forts hotspots? They really should fix that soon, if that’s a technical reason for not doing fort hotspots?

GC had hundreds of people and did well and same with zergs, so assuming it’s a fort specific bug? Not really a too many people in one area issue?

I am a pvp player and I will tell you what pvp is lacking in New World. I see that PvP is still the issue to be resolved these days.

1º Open world fort battles and pvp missions: Currently players have to take the fort to increase their influence, meanwhile a bunch of poor people do the most boring missions I’ve ever seen in my life, back and forth until the bar is full influence.

The solution is simple. Players have to break the fort’s gate to invade. Pvp missions have to conquer something. The AGS needs to place outposts scattered throughout each region for the PvP missions to make sense.
PvP zones are important and the area around the fort should be forced pvp to lessen the lag of unmarked ones in the region.

2º Forced pvp zones: For the game to be balanced in the zones with higher quality resources, there must be a zone that the player enters the pvp is automatically opened. This avoids farm “bots”, as well as increasing competitiveness for better resources and valuing items.

It is not difficult to create a pvp system. Simply put ZONES so that pvp is forced in some rare item regions.

For now forget about PvE, AGS. PvE has to be epic and fun. Things have to make sense. Where’s the spirit of Souls Like pve? No, that’s what’s missing. PvE players want CHALLENGE.

Mostly, what are the long term plans for the game.
Where they want to take it. What they want the game to be. What are their priorities.

As for more specific stuff, I want to know:
Is there any hopes for swimming? World bosses? More sidequests and interesting NPC’s? Map update with more unique places and less copy pasted stuff?

How is everyone’s mental health doing?

How are you families doing?

How have you grown as professionals and individuals since starting on the New World project?

do you plan to spend some money on advertising, sponsoring twich streams to boost NW expansion reveal ? how do you plan to win back those milions of players that left?

  • Is company specific social tools such as guild banks, guild mail, granular rank permissions and the likes common in most MMORPGs something that is on the list of things to implement and how soon does AGS plan to tackle these needs?

My biggest question are what are the devs planning for more build diversity?

Are we going to get more scaling gems, more armor perks, new weapon trees, a seperate upgrade tree like the one that is unlocked later in path of exiles.

The last couple months they were hiring for media content creators, paid media managers. I know scot said in his interview that they took 15 new hires to lunch. I put two and two together and assume that they have a team of media producers getting ready to spit out content. :revolving_hearts:

Not gonna lie. One thing this game is missing is cinematics.

True, beautiful cinematics.

As long as it doesn’t pull from the progression of development, budget and time wise, it would be amazing to add in full blown cinematics for key main storyline plot climax’s.

Intro cinematics and outro cinematics would be amazing.

Any plans to make one mega server? instead of the actual 2k limit? or at least expand this limit?

Any plans to revamp war system?

Any plans to remove factions?

And the last one… Any plans to add risky PvP in to the game? in special Open world? or all PvP will be carebear , bored and useless?

My question; Why is a bug that has been present since day 1, simply ignored ?

There are many players that have posted about this over the last nearly a year now, some who have left.

Yes new content is important but having basic functionality working would help keep new and existing players, playing.
