What if the reason the population is decreasing is because of bots

But at least it’s funneled into the crafters pocket, not recycled into their pocket so they can buy more mats from bots.

I explained somewhere, if you have 3 gen, 3 laz, 2 mutations and sell slots to buy slots, you can run 40 expeditions a week, that’s more than enough. Even for a mass grinder.

It depends. If that is coming from a territory owner, that really doesn’t matter because their money supply is endless and the gap makes it even easier to keep it that way.

Agreed, if there was no time gate? They’d buy all the mats from their own territories supplying their own money through taxes siphoning everyone in the company to create yet another subclass of elite within the faction itself. So being in that faction, you’ll have more territories due to gap, or high value territories, and you pay those guys that do all the warring for your faction way too much to the point where all you do is try to make money or fight bots for nodes while those small groups of people actually get to enjoy this game.while 95% suffer.

This trend may be different, I gave up on nodes due to bots being rampant. If they’re available, cool, we can make money again. Lol.

One way around it is to make the cost a little more, maybe 2x but make them repeatedly purchasable from the faction store. Maybe even using a special token type exclusively rewarded from PVP activities, or perhaps said tokens act as 2 or more regular tokens etc… would help encourage more than 10 OPR games a day.

When I think of no time gate… I think just remove the orbs period. Let people play the content. This stuff doesn’t need an orb just because it sounded cool on paper during the design phase. There is no reason to limit content. WoW doesn’t limit M+ in any way shape or form and its the most popular content they ever made.

I don’t have time for 10 OPR games a day. Without time gates I’d be irrelevant and I wouldn’t be on this forum. I’d have a pre purchased LA ready for install and I’d send in a request for a refund.

If time gates weren’t there, I’d never catch up. I’m married with two kids and work a full time job. I do fine for myself. Without time gates I’m competing with bots to be anything close to relevant. I’d spend 90% of my time trying to make money and 10% enjoying the game.

This is not a threat, just a thoroughly thought out compound of events that would trigger if time gates were removed.

Currently with time gate I can run 2 mutations and be satisfied with the reward. One hour and decent progress.

If time gates were removed I gaurantee AGS would 10% the rewards. So now I have to run 20 mutations to equal the value of the 2 I run now.

Umbral shards would most likely be nerfed again as well. One hour compared to 10 hours? Yeah, sink more time into the game, but I’d give that 1 hour for the same progress over 20 any day.

umbral shards and gear score upgrades also did not need to exist 4 months into the game. This is simply a reset because they couldn’t screw the crafters and the people that bought gear because of the backlash. So instead they hid the same effect of screwing them into this mutation update.

Enlighten me on the WoW activity please. I only heard, never played it. I decided it was a cancer for my time due to how much I enjoyed playing WoW.

Why didn’t it widen the gap?

How many runs per BiS did it take?

Etc.

Nah I think it’s aliens abducting people.

Crimson, wtf?

I work, have a fiancé a house and 2 kids I still find the time? I get what you’re saying time gates help the casual players, but the also hinder the dedicated players. The players who’ll be left when all the casuals migrate to games such as LA… it’s the dedicated fan base they should be catering to. Even as a casual the game is doable, but they’re pleasing the wrong crowd. Casuals come and go, the hardcore community doesn’t.

What ? Aliens love abducting mmo players , they just plug our brains into a virtual world and we are happy , while they use our bodies as an battery .

You mean mythic plus?

Mythic plus is similar to mutations. Its all the expansion dungeons have a mutation like mode. You get a key for doing a 0. When you beat that your key goes to +2. If you beat that within time it goes up +1. If you beat it with a lot of time left it can go up +2. If you don’t beat it in time then your key goes down -1. It will never go below +2 though. Which dungeon key you get is random from the pool of all the expansions dungeons every time you use your key.

Its a 5 man group and 2 pieces of gear will drop if you don’t time it. 3 pieces will drop if you do time it. The gear scales all the way up to +15 but the key can still go infinitely beyond +15 for the players that are really skilled and want to challenge themselves.

There is also a weekly chest that give you a choice between up to 3 pieces of gear depending on how many keys you completed during the week. You will get the first choice for completing just one dungeon. So its clear you only get one piece of gear out of the chest total. But you can decide between up to the 3 shown.

These dungeons take roughly 30 minutes and a +15 key rewards gear of ilvl better than heroic raiding and just under Mythic raiding. Gear is tradable for up to one hour after the dungeon between the people that were there with you. So if someone else loots something you need but they don’t, they can trade it.

How often would a level 5 dungeon drop an actual BiS piece of gear?

It wouldn’t. It would drop the lesser gear score version of the BIS piece. Need to do level 15 to get the highest gear score version. Below is a chart of the gearscore drops you will get from the dungeon at different key levels.

The great vault side is the weekly chest gear score you will get. The weekly chest is like a bonus. Every Tuesday after server reset you get a box you open and can select a piece of gear. There is up to 9 choices you can select one piece. 3 choices from doing dungeons, 3 choices from doing raids, 3 choices from doing PVP. No matter how many choices you get you can take just one piece of loot though.

Notice that you only get ilvl 262 from a +15 as an actual drop. That is like heroic raid level loot which is still very good. In the weekly chest you would get 278 which is Mythic raid level loot (best you can possibly get.)

There are also other things you can get too. Like they drop mounts in dungeons. Also for timing all the +15 dungeons (there are 9 of them) you get a special mount as a reward and an achievement.

It still takes time to get all the best gear but at least you feel rewarded for your time even if you don’t get something every single dungeon which would be silly because you can infinitely spam them.

I believe there is also something now where if you are not good enough to do a +15, and they aren’t really that hard if you have some skill, you can take the piece you have from say a lvl 5 and upgrade it… kind of like the umbral shards here. Im not entirely sure how that works because I stopped playing WoW for NW before that part came out.

So that’s the difference then. Lol. Neat activity though.

Whats the difference? That I can spam them in WoW and get useful loot vs here where I have to grind expertise for two months before I even have a chance at anything worthwhile. Then I can play only a few dungeons a week and usually get a bag full of garbage? That I can then roll up an alt and gear that one up even easier in WoW too where here its one character grind different weapons and armor again? That I can play 9 different dungeons in WoW versus 1 a week here. That I can also raid 4 different modes in WoW versus no raids here? That PVP rewards gear in WoW where it doesn’t here?

No it’s not, I quit because the game only updates to become more grindy. I did not signed for that, already got a job thank you.
