We should form a gaming community.
That shit’s sorry.
These answers were all really good.
It’s been 20d since the last answer. How have things changed in that time?
This is why I am thinking of leaving soon …
the game have so much problems its mad …
- Desync
- Balance in PvP
- Bugs I never see so many bugs after this patch
- Great sword Broken AF need a hard nerf
- No content . No goal’s No raids noting to farm for
- No vendor
- Wars are so incompetent content made ( if it was like DaoC Then pvper be happy 24/7 )
- RNG crafting no carrot end of the stick
- Farming for hours for noting
- No cross over servers
- Server problems player population
- no real pvp content ( do it as daoc problem fixed ) no new maps in pvp ( easy fix do random weekly maps )
- crappy pvp vendors
- Hatch needs a nerf
- Musket hit box need to lower
etc etc
This is game is just dyeing I don’t understand why devs are making videos about sounds and not the problems, But as I can see they are out of touch what is going on . Soon as we get into Feb . time to play some potter game and then lib
Issue is endgame. Not much content and one we have is bad:
-
Dungeons and mutations - first you farm normal dungeons to bump expertise, then you run mutated versions of same dungeons couse no other pve content
-
OPR - if fresh new player does enter OPR its gg. Even with normalization to 600 GS experience where you get farmed by 10 muskets from across map will make 8/10 ppl uninstall game. And if you are lucky and happens only 2-3 musket per team you might get train wrecked by 5 man premade of top clans on other side. Also not great experience.
-
Arena - have some issues but its way better than OPR. But lack of good rewards does kill it.
-
Wars - you can be farmed by any top clan on your server that is running best items on servers thx to free gold. Again moment ppl do understand this they uninstall game.
Imho there are ppl that quit before 60 - couse they dont feel game or couse of bugs. And this who get to 60 and quit anyway (reasons above).
Do you get around by playing muskets? Just join the developers on playing the broken weapon that they made.
it is all very sweaty pvp’ers who are upset because they can’t instantly be/get the best. They want everything handed to them and when they don’t get the best things they become vocal. The players who enjoy the game are too busy playing. I am here to look for upcoming features.
Anyway, it is already shown in many polls that all the complaining is coming from like 2-5% of the player base and not representative at all. It is just noise.
This also rests somewhat on AGS for their terrible forum management. I get that people want to quit and are crying about the game, but they need to make separate forums for that.
People like me who come here for good content have to dig relentlessly through garbage posts to find things worth while to read.
every mmo has a grind to keep people occupied between expansions, it just the AGS grinds are not very well designed.
Take the new winterfest products being overly expensive, don’t mind there being a 1 or 2 over the top items, but 10-15 gold tokens for each item was overkill, took the fun right out of it. I enjoyed the first one year, picking up prezzies and harvesting crystal things, these two options are no longer really viable (they have been nerfed comet drops for sure), need to kill the boss 300 times now basically. Just no fun after the 20th time.
Its more fun to play modded Skyrim, an 11 year old game. Says a lot that.
Company issues, you can only field so much, yet in 1 company you have more than what you can field. Some people don’t even get a chance, not to add the fact that you can slot in people from other companies.
All these thanks to AGS poor games design, should have put a cap on member count per company like say 45 instead of ?100, and let war be on automated every certain days. Or even introduce a mini war between companies 20vs20 (unlike rando opr).
How they split legacy and fss was a huge let down for me (was on legacy), but lack of pvp content , umbral shard grind to perform well in pvp and range meta kill my interest.
Playing orp was fun but after a year it become a chore (i hate musket too tbh so opr it’s just a huge no lol).
Generalization.
Assumption.
Less and less of those players, 37% of the daily playerbase gone in the last 30 days.
Maybe not the best place to do it.
Aha. Your post was 10/10 not garbage.
show me all that grind on NW, please. I trully haven’t seen much grind on it…
muskets. They are predatory on new players on OPR
game is terrible. and muskets
The end game pve content is 5 man dungeons which is exclusionary because people will get left out and need to PUG with randoms. The wurm raid or trial or whatever they call it can’t come fast enough. And they need more. The seasonal events get boring fast and don’t scale at all so once the mob gets bored… you can’t do them. That would be the closest thing to raiding right now - the seasonal boss events.
The end game pvp content is wars and the way territory holdings, income and pvp is designed… the people who got ahead and knew each other in those first few months have sprinted way ahead of everyone else and it is incredibly difficult to catch up.
Finally - the RNG in this game to get gear is insane and people are fed up with that. You roll and roll and purples. You roll and roll some more and ooo a few legendaries but none with the perks you wanted so you start over.
And there you go. There is no real cooperative end game pve. You have to grind like a crazy person to get close to even footing with others especially companies that own territory. You aren’t going to get into end game pvp unless you were in it already. And people stop playing and go play somewhere else. You could do Elden Ring for challenging solo boss fights. You could do League of Legends if you want pvp. If you want larger scale pvp you could do Guild Wars 2 WvW where you won’t be excluded and gear disparities are smaller.
The developers made the right moves at the last minute away from an open world pvp game that would have died in weeks to days but the content is way too thin, repetitive and exclusionary.
I find myself giving up my slots often in content because I feel bad someone else is getting left out.
Also just wanted to add one more thing - the ~2500 per server thing was a huge mistake and I think MMOs have to adopt Guild Wars and Arena Net’s approach where you don’t have a server you are limited to. You have a home server as an identifier for pvp and copies of the maps are created and removed based on player demand (number of players trying to access the map). MMO servers are yet another barrier and it’s easy to stop playing if there aren’t enough people or too many people or your friends leave for another server and you don’t have a transfer token or want to pay the $15.
I got on, been on ESO for a while, needed a change. Something different, loving it still. But I am new beans in NWO. Only a month in.
I see potential, I will run back and play ESO once I have done what I need to do in NWO. But I will have characters ready for the future updates and expansions that will ultimately make this game really competitive.
Its a wait and see moment, plenty of games out there.
Yeah, and as someone who has tried playing the event late; I can’t find anyone to kill the boss with haha I haven’t been able to complete the quest to do so and any of the items I want require so many tokens that farming them without doing the boss is tedious beyond belief.
The only other event I’ve ever played in New World was the summer one with the fishing and music. It was way better; it gave me incentive to do content I normally wouldn’t touch (fishing and the music skill) and surprisingly it ended up being two things I really enjoy about the game now. That one also seemed to stay lively/active even weeks into it, the locations for it were always pretty busy. Yet with the winter one I can go to one of the festival spots and there will be one or two other players at most.
For me it was in part the shop. I was liking that they didn’t seem too greedy on it, but then it was everything stuck in $70, quickly became one of the worst shops. I spent money here and there on things I wanted prior to that.
Then the other part is other games releasing their updates. I went to dragonflight for now since my server is kind of dead. Maybe once they bring in transmog Ill be back for a while because there will be something fun for me to collect.
Bots everywhere, I cant gather materials, all taken..
Resources respawn so slow ..

I enjoyed the game until lvl 60… now it feels like I am just doing a checklist everyday for this stupid gypsum. Don’t like it at all…
Musket, OP healing, and lack of content is driving people away.
