What is really causing players to not want to login to NW?

because you’re trying to blame the deflation on exploits

this is what you said " Everything you do is devalued because of the exploits. Crafting levels. Gear. Gathering.
Of course people don’t want to log in anymore.
If there’s no value in what you do then why do it?"

everything is deflated because of the bots can harvest non stop 24/7 and some items have deflated because of people lvling their trades and dumping cheap and even taking a loss. everyone trys to make gold by gathering the same items and the econ can’t absorb it. it has nothing to do with exploits

then you complained about 600 gs players - which is easily achieved if you are not a casual player

how much more do i need to explain everything

Are you saying the deflation is not being caused by exploiting? Because that’s wrong. Also 600GS is easily achieved by even casual players. It’s all precisely because of the game’s spaghetti code.

@greasychips

Morning there and thanks for contributing.

I think the confusion or disagreement here is arising from a lack of specificity on what type of exploits, because the effect in a closed economy from duping depends on what’s been duped (and breaking the closed economy).

  • Resources: LIke iron, etc. would indeed be deflationary as they cause a supply shock of materials, all else equal. I fully suspect that this has happened with things like void essence and voidbent armor given the proliferation of it.

  • Gold: The presence of a gold duping exploit, by itself, would be inflationary, as a shock to the supply of fiat currency would lead to monetary inflation (just take a look at real world CPI right now).

I hope that helps.

I guess i’m trying to point out the lack of integrity that New World has/had. When people see that systems are being upended they lose faith, and rightfully so. They are demoralized and no longer want to participate as they have no way of knowing their contributions are/will be meaningful anymore. It doesn’t really matter what specific system the exploit/bug hits but if it hits enough things people lose faith.

I hear you. Whether you’re a casual or competitive, nothing ruins your utility/loyalty for a game faster than hearing ‘dupe exploit’

Just came from this post, too many reasons to quit playing and very few reasons to stay

I am not loging in for a week or more already waiting for annoncement that they fixed firestaff.
It doesn’t do any damage with skills, visual effevts only.
And you know what? They nerf it.

Really why do people don’t want to log in?

So I just looked not in prime time for europe and we have 122k there.

Exactly. I don’t want to do the same stupid great cleave pvp quests for yet another set of armor

I’ve been using fire staff and it works fine. Maybe you’re just failing to hit anything?

Can confirm that the firestaff still have issues. Fireball going straight through mobs, pillar attacks not hitting or simply instant fires right under my char.

did anyone mention answer to this question is because game sucks?

what is wrong with you man, he said his firestaff does nothing but the animation. and you tell him yours works fine? well good for you, good for you.

some people…

Just remove fast travel cost and everyone will be happy.

Self respect mainly.

Asmongold did his review of NW and touched on your point, when he commented on the failure of New World/Amazon to perma ban exploiters, some of who are Twitch (an Amazon company) Partners. This failure to act with zero tolerance, instead winking and looking the other way in too many cases (yes many were perma banned, but many high profile were given a pass).

Asmongold also touched on my OP about the Storage shed system, “a good idea in theory that was DOA”. Every day New World Developers fail to implement a storage fix as outlined in my OP, is another lost opportunity at player retention. It is an easy fix, all the systems are in the game, just needs to be implemented to allow players to sort/transfer/manipulate storage from any town. Too many players log out dreading to return, knowing they need to spend their first hour(s) of play dealing with needless inventory management.

Population keeps dropping, as New World developers follow their plan to address 16-20 level content!

Take an easy win Developers, fix the inventory system ASAP, even a partial fix (storage shed system changes), without a wardrobe/closet is better than nothing.

Thank you

I was pointing out that, contrary to the implication in their weird post, the fire staff isn’t broken in general, and maybe it’s something they’re doing specifically. but go off, why not.

ye i just read it again, sorry for that. i actually thought he ment that his staff just doesn’t work, as a bug. nvm me then please.

sorry
