Mods the things people create to add Qol or functional things that the game designers failed at. Here we have an mmo that has forgotten to add a mini map. Now they said mini map mod is OK but it is not same time. Ummm ok. So I have my skills up to be able to track resources normally in game. If I pull my main map up those resources pop up on it. But if a mini map does it it’s bad? If i can track them anyway I really don’t care if they pop up on a mini map or not.
Anyway last I heard overwolf mini map was fine to use and unless they make a warning pop in game changing this stance since not everyone goes to forums and this probably only time I will be on forum for weeks. Then I am going to continue to use the overwolf one.
Devs if you don’t want mods in the game then do the game right and make add the features yourself. Don’t be banning players over little things.

It’s fine to use Overwolf, they can’t track your addon usage anyway. Even if they threaten to ban people using addons, that’s just that, a threat. They banned dupers and exploiters for 24 hours, do you think they’ll risk banning thousands and thousands of people just because they use a minimap? Hell no.
if they banned everyone using it, they could lose up to 1/3 of their still active playerbase.
I still think with the amount of popularity it has, they should add it into the game. hell they could even make a quest where you craft it or something at like level 10-20 to keep it immersive.
