What is the endgame supposed to be?

I guess people got a little too close to completing that, so they nerfed gear drop rates, and increased the crafting grind.

Perhaps the best way to look at it is this. The game has no content, so treat it like a 15 year old sandbox game essentially. In other words just pvp all day lol

Grind grind grind.

There’s no endgame content in this game.

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter

Basicly grinding, now that they nerfed loot from chests even more grinding.
Or PVP. Not very motivated tbh, might take a break for a while.

Lol imagine a game only being live for 45 days and people spazzing about the endgame.

Just open your map and look at the northern borders of ebonscale and mourningdale. Do they seem like static hard borders?

If you’ve ever been inside the cathedral in Myrkgard you also would have seen an instance entrance that has yet to be unlocked… as well as a path THROUGH shattered mountain.

I then look at my weapons mastery tab and see space for another 8 or 9 weapons.

I see something similar on my trade skills tab.

I see these things because I’m not a whiny spaz that needs everything spoofed to me. I understand that there is a progression and life cycle to an MMO because I’ve been playing them since dialup was a thing.

So I spent the last 4 weeks in the crafting system. Let me tell you where it got me. It got me a voidbent set 2 days before they nerfed heavy armor, and a loss of 15k in buy orders when the post was “getting fixed”. So yeah some of us are salty and just because some stuff hasn’t affect you doesn’t mean the game is in a good state

What for? So that you can craft gear that no-one buys and that is way under-leveled for yourself?

Also, not much point. As a PvE player I don’t disagree though. Earning something “special” is a good progression but as it stands 90% of content is not soloable at level 60.

I can get behind PvP parts if I liked fighting against other people. Invasions aren’t exactly an exciting part of this game.

Impossible on smaller servers where no-one buys anything.

This is a time sink starting with having to find people, building it all up and once (if ever) you’re there grinding the content you described above.

There is no endgame (PvE) like dungeons or raids. You all know it! Why all people still rushed too fast to 60??? I don’t get it… Why you not play relaxed and enjoy the environment in this game and keep it slow and easy. We all know there are no endgame now

I never said none of it affected me?

I can clearly understand your frustration.

That said, there are still things to do in the game at end game was my point and that still stands. I mean look at your post, it provided you two weeks of play time.

The game is not, and I want to be clear here, in a good state, never said it was.

So Lazarus Instrumentality and Garden of Genesis don’t exist?

I suppose invasions don’t exist either right?

All of end game is a time sink though. It is just does the game have the time sinks we find interesting.

Do not get me wrong, I agree there is not a whole lot at the end game by any means, but there is stuff to do. Just a decision on if we enjoy that.

I have always said new world content is a mile wide, and an inch deep.

I actually agree with you. You listed valid points, it’s just that I’m deflated I think. My love for this game died over the last few days and suddenly I lost my rose tinted glasses and realised that it’s all pointless. The grind, the chase, all for what? To do more of the same? Somehow other games I’ve played left me always wanting more but New World just dangles this carrot and pretends there is something when actually there isn’t.

If you mean like raiding and things of that nature there are none. This is a heavily focused pvp mmo. However, I wouldn’t doubt if they don’t add a raid sooner rather than later since they made dungeons. Otherwise, the end game is what others have said, grind out skills to 200, gear 600 etc. Outpost rushes, wars, portals etc.

I feel you, I really do. I have a set group of friends that I play with but it honestly feels like we log on, do our own thing and only meet up for Invasions, Wars, or a Dungeon or two once one of us craft a key.

I wont say I love new world but I will say I like it. Even in its current state. It scratches an itch I just have not felt in a long long time. Like the struggle makes it interesting, not fun, but interesting.

I look at New World honestly at this point as a single player game where I am just trying to max out my character completely with some added group bonus content. I know this sounds dumb but yesterday I played for 2 hours, you know what I did that whole time, the star metal loop in great cleave to level up my mining to 152. I am excited to get to 175 to start farming orichalcum. How crazy is that, I want to leave work right now, go home, jump in new world and hit more rocks.

During that time I killed 2 other people, that is just one person per hour but it was the most fun I have felt in New World since we beat Laz. Its like New World is 98% bland grind with 2% surprising fun.

they were hiring a lot of people and i heard they want to do a lot of stuff in the new year, so i think we might start to see stuff coming then. it probably still wont be a raid, but better quests and stuff to start

The problem is new world pvp is so clunky and boring. They also brought back the insane lag so now it’s literally unplayable(wars/outpost).

Lol. Truth.

Endgame is arts and crafts followed by spamming hammer in opr.
