since the start of the game and we are so much confused about how luck work
personally i have all majors trophy + gear + food . Im Ruining M10 and 2 Leg drops i got and my friend with 0 luck only bags he get up to (6–9) each run . we go for farming boss also he get all the unique named drop and i get only green + blue please some one explain to me what i should do
There has been a free dev blogs dedicated to loot luck and luck in general and recommend checking those out. The most recent one definitely is the best one.
Loot luck specifically has an impact but it’s pretty small so not very noticeable unless you are talking about long-term over thousands of drops. As a result, since the effect size is so small you will have plenty of these situations where someone without luck with just get better stuff. Which is why luck isn’t extremely important but if you have the money to get trophies then why not. The cost to benefit ratio is very high though so likely shouldn’t be at the top of your lost. Typically bag luck > trophies because it’s not affordable and trophies give a very small benefit. Obviously get the minor ones, but beyond that, no rush.
Luck impacts named items. Read the article for that. It does not impact the quality of gear. So you won’t get more legendaries as a result. Running M10 gives it’s own internal buff and most people get quotes few legendaries a run. It’s like 80% chance with each chest anecdotally? Getting like 7-8 legendaries an M10 run often. But doesn’t stop people from being unlucky. M10 definitely seems to stand out in regards to legendary drop changes and it drops significantly from there.
Luck is a scam
I have never run luck on anything ever in this game. Its just and RNG multiplier. But its still RNG.
Its the difference between buying 1 lottery ticket or buying 3.
In the case of gathering. You may not see the rare legendary and uncommon items without luck. In the case of gathering, it means all the luck in the world the rare items you need to craft. I use all gathering gear with gathering luck and trophies, but you can just flag pvp to get enough.
You are overlucked. That means, you probably went beyond the retarded luck threshold and getting the “shit drops” table, or the “lol no drops at all” table.
I used to run full void, pearls, weapons with luck, bags, 3 trophies. I gave up man. A dude on PvP gear would get always better drops than myself, both flagged or not. I just don’t understand the concept, or can’t fathom how it is so inconsistent.
I have had positive results from wearing luck while farming named gear/Tradeskill gear.
