The void gauntlet has an animation cancel where you can lunge 30 meters and catch anyone or escape. I have one with refreshing move and the blade swings so fast cooldowns are maybe 5 seconds. The root lasts a long time, it’s a mess.
The counter to my weapon/build is the most OP combo right now…
My main weapon/build is the most deserving of buffs…
…
With all the current gear I have, I tried a few combos
Musket glass cannon, 332/150 DEX/INT. It’s OK, feels kind of weak in OPR, so many people have heavy armor, so many people heal now for easy points. I was averaging around 400-500k damage, but really not didn’t feel super effective. Most people kill steal so that doesn’t help. Not to mention, lag and hit boxes not where they are supposed to me. Always end up in like last place lol.
Spear/bow 332/150 DEX/CON kind of in the same place as musket. Everyone moves so fast and the hitboxes kind of wonky. Massive full charged headshots are always very impressive.
Fire staff, 432/50 Pretty good booms. Pretty soft. Averaged 500-600k damage, and a few kills. Matches were really bad, very GA/WH heavy with 6+ healers. Need to play around with it more.
Healer, 382/100. always number one on the leaderboard.
Heal/Dps 150/232/100 Still top 5, not very good dps in OPR, better in 1v1 open world.
Spear/hatchet surprising combo. Light armor, Average 500k+ damage, lots of kills, defy death is so good, bleed is so good.
Time to mess with VG a little bit.
Whatever combo you play effectively really.
I some what believe that. While some things seem to be OP, it seems like most things that are played well, do well.
I personally like to play fun builds. Right now I’m playing rapier/spear. I do really well with it and win a lot of duels against good players and do well in open world pvp too. But when I have to put my try hard hat on for wars and against companies trying to push influence on our territory (everfall) I’ll run ig/vg.
And to answer the question ig/vg is pretty broken in the right hands. There’s some people that try the build out and don’t know how to aim the ice spike or have shit timing with the roots.
what’s the broken build, I havent much looked into it, but I’m guessing heavy armor, or a maxed out Med weight?
Lag + broken weapon swapping
ls/vg by a landslide
then bow/rapier
then any other combination of dex weapons.
then fs/ig
rest isnt rly worth mentioning unless you´re thinking about wars. in that case ga/wh is still strong and so is ig/vg
heavy hasnt been the meta for about 2 months now. you wanna run medium with almost every build atm. exception is dex builds cos they already get a 3rd dodge from beeing dex specced so they can run light.
heavy isnt rly used outside of wars at all. except for shitters in opr who dont know how to dodge.
FS/hatchet
finally the correct andwer
Assuming they are not wearing Heavy Armor, then any Bow/Musket DPS will destroy Life/Void. In 580 GS Medium Armor, bows hit me for about 30-50% of my health from far away and my Void gauntlet is useless at that range and I will be dead by the time I have closed the distance.
Heavy armor with Great Hammer and Void is much better. Not having to much any in Focus and instead put it in CON, and you will have enough health to close the distance, CC and take down those pesky archers.
People think Life/Void is so good because they try to melee them, inside their healing circles and cry when they fail. CC them and punt them out of their circles and they will melt like nothing. Again, assuming they are not wearing Heavy Armor.
Strongest setups seem to be anything that can chain CC. So your VG+LS or IG/FS+VG or GA/WH.
Having combos to root people so they can’t dodge then following up with burst damage is the go to. Especially with nullifying oblivion removing heals.
Ignore highly edited Dex montages
Healers wear medium and light armor in PVP?
See this used routinely in OPR and by the same few (mostly from the same company who are, unsurprisingly, dominating in wars as well).
Just have to record, submit and report as much as you can. Because you can guarantee if they do this so blatantly, without any attempt to hide it, they know about all of the other exploits and will use them all in all scenarios, not just OPR.
And when I say blatantly, I mean teleporting up to the ramparts of a capture point from the outside when the doors are up…
Void requires hitting an enemy. Does not work against ranged.
I’ve seen a YouTube of a guy jump and climb up from the outside. I keep forgetting to try it but didn’t look like a glitch.
I do, I mostly wear light an just heal from range. If you can avoid the melee it’s kind of worth it IMO for the strong SG and decent damage.
