What is the problem with hotfix?

Now it is obvious that the bow and the fire mage are too strong. Why can’t you reduce their base damage or attribute scaling by ±10% and see what happens? this does not need 250 hours of time, it takes 1-2 hours maximum. Why do you make players suffer and spit from the game for a month, instead of making 1 small adjustment during the week. It can always be rolled back or changed weapons in the future.

Probably because everyone rolled bow and firestaff for the first few days and we’re starting to see people get bored of it and roll other things, including melee which is starting to change things and the meta is starting to form, so they probably don’t want to make changes yet until they see the results of changing player behaviour which might either solve the problem or make it more visible what action needs to be taken.

at the same time, now people make 30-40 resist and this does not save … because the abilities have practically no animations and cast time. Additionally, burning that accelerates and if there is no decrease in duration, then for each hit the second one is a gift. Damage reduction will reduce damage until a global change. Now it is obvious that the fire staff has too much damage. Go to the arena or OPR… they play only RDD. Pretty much mages who don’t need a brain to deal damage.

I wonder why they don’t approach balancing as small changes, they rather use a hammer method.
Maybe it saves time and workforce, like doing a big change, seeing where it settles, while working on something else, after a while u come back and smash it again until it is in an okay position, the problem with this method is that people are a test subject, and the test subjects are getting mad and wanna quit.

They already announced doing smaller balance changes monthly. Hopefully they stick to that.

Fire staff is in good spot, bow is the only problem right now.

It’s not the weapon, armor loads need to ALL have the same dmg +, mobility is plenty of an advantage for light.

Nah. Ranged should do less dps than melee assuming the same stat allocations
