What is the purpose of server-transfer when you can't sync quests with party?

What I don’t get about this game is that there is a town board where you do the same old boring quests over and over again (it’s like daily quests except it’s not).

So if you want to at least try have a bit more fun doing these quests you try doing it with friends. The only problem here is that your friends and you have different quests that can’t be synced together. It’s the same kind of boring quests you just have different ones.

This is the most lame shit I’ve ever experienced in a game. You are forced to do these boring town quests over and over and you can’t do it with your friends so you have to do it alone anyway. Hahaah I found this sad and funny at the same time. Why would you not allow us players who bought the game to play with our friends?

So what is the point changing server to your friends when you can’t quest together? hahahah

Repeatable quests such as the Town Board quests are incentives to help out the war-effort, or engage players to stimulate certain activity within the game world.
New World is essentially a sandbox MMO (think EVE Online), many of the mechanics within the game exists only for the sake of providing “nudges” to send you out into the world. “Success” or “fun” will always depend on what you & your friends create out of the experience! I hope this makes sense.

Yeah, this is a major issue. MMOs are already pretty group unfriendly, but NW really takes the piss. Faction quests are the same problem.
It’s great that me and my friends can go ‘create’ an experience, but Faction missions are kinda important during the lvl up process and having different ones is a pain

Definitely! The biggest hurdle that New World faces, I’d say, is the inherent expectation from players to get the “WoW/Guild Wars-type” leveling or group experience. Sandbox MMOs often have extreme learning curves & mechanics that need to remain abstract.

I would welcome changes to incentivise people playing with others, but as a general rule of thumb - If you need a reward in order to enjoy the act of helping your friends, sandbox MMOs such as New World remains a hard sell!

PvP

Because eventually you’ll all be the same level and be doing end game together.

I mean, it’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?!

The questing and stuff taking you to the level cap is, in time, the short part of the game.

It makes no sense cause it’s impossible to create an experience if you cannot do quests together. For me this is completely retarded. I mean going out in the world always starts with doing quests (as we are leveling). Instead me and my friends can unite doing logging and boulder-farming sessions hahaha this game… I mean ok I don’t complain about the boring faction and board quests, I can handle them. But seriously why can’t you sync these meaningless quests with the group to make them a bit more interesting. For me it’s hard to understand what they where thinking here…

Me and my friend are different levels but when we play I always think “Ah yeah it does not matter that we are different levels we could just do our faction or board quest together” then I realise “Nah ok they made this game a forever alone solo experience, fuck friends”.

So the game is only to be enjoyed during endgame? What kind of shit is this. I don’t mind doing these mindless quests over and over again, I can tackle that one, but please why do I have to do them solo when I have friends to play with. I bought this game to play with three other friends not to run around by myself all the way up to lvl 60… It is complete bullshit and the biggest joke in a very long time.

Well we tried pvp but since we are different levels and not even close to 60 it’s hard. So we have to do quests to reach lvl 60 asap. But we can’t do it together for some stupid reason? It should be EASY to share the quests with group or sync them you know. It is mindless daily quests for god sake…This hurts…

There is nothing stopping you, or your friends, from grouping up and help each other even if there is no material reward.

lol why would you help someone with these mindless quests when you have to do them urself the next day? Your argument does not fit bro. I mean these quests ain’t too fun and very repetitive so the only thing (for me) that can save my ingame experience is to do these quests with friends and the fact that it’s impossible is for me retarded. I cannot find another word for it sorry.

Well, clearly it’s something different to what you’ve experienced in the past, and equally clearly something you don’t like. OK, we get it. But in your rage you can’t seem to see the wood for the trees. As I just said to you, levelling to 60 is THE SHORT PART OF THE GAME. It’s not hard to do and, once you’re there, all of this stuff you’re annoyed about becomes totally meaningless.

In the past I’ve experienced doing same quests with friends and that was a normal thing for me. I just don’t find the answer for not being able to quest together with friends… Do you have an answer? It’s not like it is hard to fix a “quest sync” button for these repetitive quests. It should be easy. I have 90 hours ingame and i’m level 35 (yay) another 90 hours solo to level 60, fuck yeah that is a short time!!

Also in the past I’ve mostly enjoy questing to reach level cap more then actually playing at leveling cap. And now I see the communitys opinion that there is nothing to do at level 60. So Amazon could at least let me enjoy the game up to level 60 (WITH FRIENDS).

Here again, a situation you have decided on for yourself. The game is full of people you COULD choose to work with, if you so desired. That’s what MMOs used to be all about. If you ONLY want to play with people who you can’t hook up with and ignore people who can help you just because you don’t know them… that’s on you. Look, I’m not trying to change your mind here, but I am trying to show there are options, but it seems you don’t want to take them? Your call.

What do you mean work with exactly? I’ve hooked up with randoms doing same quests as me but that is not my point. I’m talking about the “playing with friends” experience during questing in the big world. I know the world is full of players but I want to play with my friends, doing quest together you know. If the game is about reaching 60, from doing quests, questing is a BIG part of the work you’re talking about.

What is your point here? Are you defending against the option of not having a “quest-share/sync”-button from the board and faction quests?

Maybe you prefer going out in the world trying your luck with people who does the same quests as you but I would prefer playing with irl friends also. Many times when I hooked up in same party with random players we only share like 1 or 2 same quests which makes it hard to continue together anyways. The game is an MMO but it’s forcing you to play it solo, and that bothers me. It’s not my though it’s a fact.

Problem is, not only is there no material reward, but you are actually slowing each other down - the quests are easy solo already, if I get 3 faction quests, my friend gets 3 other quests…we then ‘help each other with these quests’ now one of us is running all the way across the zone to help their quest, then they are running all the way to the otherside to help with the other quests. The extra time taken to do this compared to run, do 3 quests, go hand in far outweighs the miniscule benefit of ‘help’ from your friend.
Faction quests with friends is an impedement which should never be the case with an MMO.

Now, that aside, there are plenty of proper quests you can do so it is not entirely hopeless, but it is definitely flawed and there really is no excuse for not syncing/sharing faction quests at least
