You are a player wearing what you want to wear or have found, and I hope you know what your equiped buttons do. End of what any story should be in an MMO adventure.
What you said is true, I wear what I want and do what I want, that’s why I paid the money
In fact I play alone and I am not good at English, there may be instructions in the game especially for new players that I did not pay attention to, so in my spare time I watch some YouTube clips and some articles, a large amount of information, and I came to the conclusion that if I increase the strength, I can Complete missions without anyone’s help. If I level up, I go and buy a stronger weapon. After the latest update, I no longer benefit from the power of weapons.
Do you have anything to suggest to me? Leave the game for example?
Just a hypothesis but the game wasn’t built for what is traditionally experienced in other mmo’s.
Typically this has been called “tank’n’spank”. The tank grabs and holds aggro with few if any interruptions while the dps beat it to death with magic and melee.
From experiences in Expeditions this can be approximated. It cannot be totally replicated on a continuous basis.
The hypothesis is that this is intended. The designers did not want a simplified approach to Expeditions. Obviously with gear and supplements to that gear they wanted to enable at lest some ability for traditional tanking.
It just doesn’t seem as if designers wanted the traditional ‘taunt and hold’ approach to be the sole means of getting through an Expedition.
Thank you for your elegant response. In this case, I will replace my weapons with lower-level weapons. Is this considered a problem? But since I will not lose anything and experience is good in most cases, I will take your advice.
What? New World is an MMO, the holy trinity, tank, dps and healer.
They are not WoW classes, many, many MMOs were around and using those WAY before WoW…
The primary experience for the majority of players is going to be WoW. Aside from that it has been the single most popular mmo outreaching anything before and even after it.
That might change in the years to come, but this is the common experience of people who play mmo’s.
If you don’t generate threat then you can’t be a tank. I’ve seen DPS “tanks” before but if you can’t hold the mobs then you shouldn’t classify yourself as a tank since most groups want a tank that can hold aggro.
I think even though we have a classless system we still fall under the trinity system. I don’t think a build that uses taunts can actually put up the same numbers as a DPSer. We still seem need the Tank role to hold threat and survive and I don’t see another build being able to do that without heavy/shield.
