I play on a server where the peak is about 1500 people. I recently needed to run some mobs for Malevolence and I couldn’t find even ONE more person to run that elite zone; I waited for 30 minutes. I decided to give up and and log off.
It really is frustrating that a massively multiplayer game can feel so empty and sad.
What is the solution? I think they need to DOUBLE the population cap, and merge the HELL out of these servers.
the servers are already kinda at their limit i think, there is some things going on that other MMO’s just don’t have, i think for cheat prevention. it might even be too much at this point when the servers are full
Fk knows, I wish to god they would start merging. No one knows what the Fk is going on. No one is going to use a transfer without knowing the fate of their destination. Absolutely ridiculous they are delaying this.
On my server, it’s been completely gameplay oriented. One company was an absolute tyrant running around with Voidbent holding most of the territories. In result, many people that actually like the game gave up due to how annoying the game becomes when taxes are high and your faction owns little to no territory.
If you think gathering people to kill the same mobs over and over for weeks “playing a game” i dont know what to say.
If loot was random, i could have understood it, but with gearscore system its just lame.
Its a poor substitute for an endgame.
Most likely the issue is because they are not using tab targeted combat the server has to track projectiles and weapon swings and calculate against hit boxes on a very large number of elements scale. Tab target games don’t have this server overhead. Also I’m sure the shear number of node points in this game (all those flint, bushes, rocks lying around) also put a large strain on the server and what it has to track. In the end their ability to solve this low server population cap problem will probably indicate whether this game can survive long term or not.
That’s why they’re not. I didn’t find killing the same elite fun and there isn’t much else to do so I quit as well and only check forums for changes. Already uninstalled.
You’re making the assumption people who browse these forums still play the game.
A lot of us don’t, we want to, but AGS is slow to act and inexperienced in how to handle an MMO.
I’m waiting for them to do something worth coming back for - once another game grabs my attention I’ll likely never come back.
They even managed to make most of the crafting systems pointless, 45+ days now. Chests in dungeons with ridiculous barrier to entry still bugged, end game materials still not even in the games loot table, no anti-zerg mechanics to be found for the 30 - 45+ players that think running around hoping you can do enough damage in Myrk to get a drop.
It’s trash. A literal dumpster fire, but the stuff that’s burning is precious and I want to see it put out before it’s all ash.
i mean crafting weapons is just such a waste of time
id rather just watermark farm to max then farm the mob that drops the best weapon
easier faster and above all cost way less time and ingame money
I spent 200 hours maxxing a profession to craft a legendary schematic I had drop, and the materials listed to make it don’t exist.
AGS wants to waste my time, I’ll take that personal and make sure I spend some time on the forums from day to day letting everyone know how bad the end game experience is.
