The combat in general is still fun to me which keeps me playing. It’s not perfect, but it’s enjoyable seeing those damage numbers, and dodging enemy attacks. I like collecting loot, and hoping for that perfect random drop opposed to trying to craft it or buy it

I think my answer changed since the forum announcement. I’m playing for lack of other options. I’m following Pax Dei, AoC and Nightingale, but those games will take a while. A return to ESO and/or Valheim may be on the cards. At least ESO will still have an official forum.

I haven’t played the game itself in months, but I do come back now and then to check on the forums and see how the game’s much-needed improvements are going. So I guess you could say the forums are what keep me coming back.
Now they’re shutting the forums down so, um… yeah.

I’ve done the same many times. I guess from May 1st I’ll check Reddit and Steam (in that order), and maybe trundle over to Discord, if future game updates start to get really juicy and the playerbase begins to grow again.
I am just taking my time with the level. I am currently Lv149 in fishing.

Combat. It’s fun. I have nothing else to say. I can’t even sell the game to my mates anymore, but I still enjoy it.
When SF6 drops I’ll probably play if a lot less since I’ll be juggling to many games at that point. Oh well.

No point to prove. No one really wants a PvP server. They just want more PvP content. Unnecessary salt.
Good point… I would say destiny is a looter shooter WITH pvp… not a pvp game, so i’d agree with you’re post here. However, destiny has 1 thing new world doesn’t, which is separate scaling for weapons in pve and pvp
I’m in the same boat. My friends would rather play rocket league. So mmorpgs were never their thing anyways.

They scale to 600 in NW too.
In destiny you have weapons that are only available for a certain period (like the weapons from trial) that end up giving you unreal advantages in PvP, it’s an MMORPG after all. But just like in destiny skill will be able to make up for perks or gs difference.
Playing an MMORPG if u want gear to not matter is pointless… that’s what mobas and shooters are for.
