What PC could play OPR at 60fps?

Hey there @Skilldeath!

I understand you’d like to upgrade your PC to play more comfortably.

Here’s the Game minimum and recommended specs so you can have a reference.

Also, I’ll help you move this topic to the General discussion section so other people can see it there and they can share their experience with you.

I hope this helps.

Get Ryzen 3600 (CPU), RTX 2070 Super/2080 (GPU) and 16gb RAM from the used market.

I have a 2080ti and I get >60 fps in OPR, but my frames are all over the place, though, and some days are better/worse than others.

I do have everything turned down low.

I personally would just save for a 4080 card.

Just run everything on low and you can probably do it on what you have.

Game is very CPU heavy.
I upgraded from Ryzen 5 2600x to a Ryzen 9 5900x and still having the same 2070rtx. Absolutely not feeling the need to upgrade the GPU add the CPU absolutely pulls out every millimeter of power out of that GPU.

Game s running smoothly after the upgrade

Hello!

Here are my personal specs below. With these I get over a 100 fps in open world, 50 to 70 in towns on average on all Ultra settings. Would likely handle OPR handily

Processor
11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H Processor

Operating System
Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-bit)

Display
17.3" IPS FHD (1920 x 1080) 144Hz Display

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Graphics, 6GB

Memory
32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM

Hard Drive
2TB NVMe Solid State Drive

I’m on a 5900x w/ 1080ti and get 80 - 110 fps @ 1440p, max graphics, in OPR.

Personally I go intel for the CPU but its all personal preference -

Currently rocking a 2080 super + 16g RAM and New World runs wonderfully 70-80 fps @ 1440 (Locked)

goodluck

You have a powerful GPU. Learn to use Riva tuner to set a fps limit and gives more consistent frame timing…

Depends on resolution. I have the same as him and overclocked that runs under 60c on max load but it’s not enough for wars and holds 60fps in opr if there’s no 15v15. 3440x1440 here. I bet it will do fine on 1080p

Continuing the discussion from Tech People: Help Me Understand Directx 11 vs Directx 12 in New World:

I’m confused now, does NW run on DX11 or DX12? Clarification would be greatly appreciated.

This. Most of the cases game is bottleneck by cpu, not gpu. Get good gaming cpu . Depends on budges ryzen 5600 as min up to 5800x 3d if you can spare some cash.

12900k 3080 i play 2k 75fps without any problem, remeber you need verry good processor, not video card.

My can. 50 euro for help. GL.

I am running rtx 3070 and 5600x and intel i9 12k and i am running way better than recommended gear…

And still 20-30 fps in elite chest runs and players nearby in town etc… while 140 fps on a dead server i get only 40-80 fps on a full server

Thats nothing to do with upgrading pc

There is a low gpu usage bug in this game for rtx series.
Sadly the devs dont know

It’s not the computer… its the game engine that is uter rubbish and the spaghetti code that makes the game run poorly even on high end computers.

Only
Pussy
Riflemen

That’s what I mean XD I don’t want to spend billions to play the same way at 40 fps in city or war…

I’ve experienced both RX 580 and RX 6600 XT, can assume that OPR is hugely demanding on CPU.

Probably a I5 12gen could handle it over 60FPS on OPR
