I recently hit level 200 jewelry crafting and I started gather jewelry stuff. I’ve been getting some of the mixer’s clothes for the following prices on my server:
hat: 100g
pants: 900g
shoes: 750g
I was wondering what price I should pay for the other mixer’s clothes based on those prices. I saw a Mixer’s coat(I think it is called that, the chest one) being sold for 10,000g a couple of days back and didn’t buy it since I thought it was overpriced. I was wondering if that was actually a good deal. Also, based on those prices, what would you estimate a jewel crafting trophy to be worth on my server (I get that it is hard to guess with just those numbers, but throw a random guess out).
For an almost impossible query, you have to base it around what you are willing to pay, and consider other factors
How many max jewelcrafters are there on your server / how many people are aiming for 200 JC? The more people who reach max, the less valuable your skills are. If you are one of the only few, buy that gear for whatever you can get it to start churning out 600GS jewelry and charge 120k a piece. If there are lots of max JC, then you shouldn’t be in a rush to buy the gear, because you will get undercut on custom prices.
How long has that shirt been listed for sale? If you have time, wait the max 28 days, see if it gets relisted for cheap. If it never turns up again, then you know it’s probably worth the 10k due to scarcity (but I think more would appear over time).
For gear itself I tend to look for 300g and below, maybe 500g if there’s a whole bunch in one location. If it’s the last piece I need and I can go make money from it right away, then I’d pay up to 1k.
For trophies, I would be prepared to pay a lot after they ban the dupers for large benefit JC trophy. I have never seen the crafting component drop or be advertised for sale, so you’re looking at 50k+ I think for the completed major trophy. It’s a permanent investment though.
Depends. How long does it take you to make that kind of money? Do you do three faction quests a day and a couple of other activities and end up with 500-600 a day? Are you willing to pay a whole day’s worth for one piece? Do you have a meaningful craft and make a few thousand a day?
I could never afford the 10k prices I see, I honestly don’t understand how people even have money to post fees on these outrageous 50-60k prices. And they must know the item is likely not to sell but they have so much cash, they can consistently overprice a bunch of items and pay the fees. It’s like they’re made of money.
For them, that 10k price is not bad at all. But such a disparity less than two months in is fishy. Something tells me nothing at all was done about the duping exploits.
