Arguable. This tends to cause worse PR than if you had punishments such as account banned for progressive periods of time. Can actually deter people from creating a new account and cheating right away again, as Iâve seen people do in NW. Cuz they have nothing to lose anymore. Only the ones that donât know itâs a Bug should not be blamed. Back on Launch, I was using a FireStaff bug for like a month and didnât even know it was a bug until I googled why it wasnât consistent. lol I quit FS but imagine getting banned for that⌠As many do in ban-wavesâŚ
The Developers are indeed responsible for the Bugs, although players are responsible for exploitation, but companies want to shift the whole blame onto players for misbehavior.
An interesting point. But it is a False Equivalence cuz Bugs are not Tools like Guns, they are errors that allow an impossible action or unintended result. Right? It would be like buying a Handgun that weirdly shoots like a machinegun or launches Nukes, if we want to be hyperbolic.

Man, people were shooting by on GreatAxe mounts, and axes were out one shotting people everywhere. Low hanging fruit. If itâs easy, and it doesnât seem like people are getting in trouble for it. A lot of people will do it, jump on the bandwagon and whatnot.
A lot of them wouldnât have if it wasnât so easy, but surely some would have.
WoW had itâs fair share like this too, i remember when you could re-equip armor and double the stat bonuses. Literally every BG and open world pvp was filled with people doing it.
The âThey canât ban us if we all do itâ mentality also comes to mind with certain things like this as well i think.
I err on the side of caution, but not everyone does. Should they be banned for it? If itâs obvious and deliberate i think so. Permanently? I think that depends on how easy it was to replicate.

You actually need some kind of macro to use thi exploit since people say you need to open store tab ? No way it canât be that fast without using any macro
Iâm not sure if they are using a macro or not, but iâm hearing this is being used to steal territory on points. It doesnât surprise me in the least, and i would hope they can find a way to track that many activations at once and ban abusers.
Flip side is people testing it out, outside windsward or somesuch might get caught in the wave. Guess weâll see.
Best way to test for stuff like this is the PTR and report it there, not goof around with it on live.

Well, I just googled it and saw a video of a guy simply using Clicks on the Store Tab and spamming his #2 ability. Doesnât seem like it needs a macro to replicate but it could make it easier. I hope Iâm not saying too much already. Donât want people spamming thisâŚ
oh, also, there seems to be another little invincibility Glitch some people are exploiting more and more, but I havenât found how itâs done.

Is that the cousin to the dupers that didnât exploit though? And just tested it 6000 times and dumped everything onto an alt. for âtesting purposesâ lol.

haha⌠This reminds me of Plausible deniability. If only we could Ban people in real life that use those excuses all the time. But it works.
Still tho, rather than bans, I would hold their account hostage for x amount of time. Rather than redemptionless punishment that just break people, I would condition them to follow rules. You know, how all corporations and governments do on us.
Its been working since at least Friday. That was the first time I saw it. Pretty sure my server lost a territory over it. Not 100% positive on that though.
i havent seen that type of thing. ive seen that skill being used by people, but not fast spamming it like in the video.
i think ive seen bots farming stuff though. hard to tell really though because someone might just stand farming in the same spot for hours as a way to chill.
