Right now I am thinking about using a Spear or Rapier with it, any of you using the bow as well? What do you like using with it?
Any dex based weapon really.
Hatchet⌠but Bow is significantly weaker to Musket, especially for PvP
Bow may be weaker slightly, but itâs faster shots and better for mid range pvp and pve.
PvE definitely as it also has AoE attacks⌠but pvp? Musket v bow wins every time.
only at a distance. mid to close range I wouldnât use a musket. If youâre defending, sure, camp somewhere and snipe away, but in an actual fight musket lacks.
It only lacks when it comes to melee range fights.
Thatâs actually why pairing it with a hatchet is damn powerful! Devastating long ranged attacks at range to open up a fight. Great DoT. Then hatchet to finish the work if thereâs anything left.
With my bow I went with hatchet, mostly because of the bowâs aoeâs. The bowâs âUltimateâ abilities are insultingly bad

~War~
I was hatchet + bow through closed, open and the first few days of live.
Iâm now rapier + musket, or rapier + ice gauntlet⌠because having a bow is useless in PvP, you can land one or two lucky shots before youâre aped on, and by that point you only have your hatchet left over⌠itâs GG.
Musket is a hit scan with no projectile drop or delay (or very little). Itâs far superior to aim and use, and deals significantly more damage. The only drawback of a musket class is no AoE attacks, so it lacks somewhat against PvP unless youâre focusing specific targets.
go lifestaff.
and you will be the bard.
Go Spear / Bow. Youâll thank me later.
Running Spear / Bow right now, love it!
Is the bow really that bad when compared to a musket?
Arrows have travel time and ballistic trajectory. Now add tiny heads and erratic enemy movement.
I ran Spear/Bow and loved it n PvE. 1st time holding down a fort with Bow lead me to start leveling Musket for PvP.
So go Bow/Spear for PvE. Spear is one of my favorite Weapons but it doesnât have the coolness factor of Ice Gauntlet/Rapier, which Iâm not switching from until Void Gauntlet comes out. And maybe not even then.
