Good. High floor low ceiling tank gameplay isn’t good for PVP in any mmo.
Every player whines, in game, in forums or with their friends doesn’t mean they aren’t true PVP players. Usually it’s just venting frustration/ranting on forums, you really don’t need to tell them a solution, just listen to what they’re saying and let them air it all out. After a day or 2, they’ll chill out.
My vision of Tanks are like Tiny in DOTA, or Zac & Maokai from LoL. Doesn’t do burst damage as much but can disrupt the battlefield with strong CC’s and soak up damage. Unfortunately I don’t think it’ll work with NW’s 2 weapon system.
I would remove healers from the game. Rebalance the dungeons for that and everyone is happy. Apart from the healers ![]()
I agree with smoothing out ttk. Right now people are immediately deleted or seemingly unkillable. However, I’m not sure how to smooth it out.
A system like Lost Ark has where you select all of your perks, gear, etc separately for PvP. Retains customization while leveling the playing field for true skill-based combat.
It’s hard for the new/avg player to learn if they are just getting destroyed as well.
I think I would like to see riposte changed so that in order for it to trigger from a hit you need to facing your attacker, I hate that it triggers if I hit someone in the back. I would change the stun to also only stun either only the person who triggers it or to a cone in front of the player. However I think it’s also bad that the stun can be dodged, I’d make the stun instant and unavoidable. If you trigger a riposte with these changes you should be punished for it.
I can’t judge weapon balancing as I came back jsut a week ago, but can say the diversity is great right now, surely some balancing is needed but it feels way better rn than it used to be!
General changes (very if not most important in my opinion):
“Must-have-or-you-are-trolling” perks like resilient and shirking fortification need to just be deleted or just added naturally to PVP gear.
The ranked and matchmaking and statistics really is the best path forward to narrowing down, WITH DATA, what adjustments need to be made.
Announcing a full-time PVP/War team that does
at least weekly balance updates(for PVP) so we arent dealing with 2-3 month broken metas.
Eventually this same ranked system could also be added to Wars with global rankings and individual and company stastistics.
Agreed. Granted, counterpoint would be if you take outt those two perks, then 2 new perks become the necessary standard. But yeah, i would love to see more build diversity and perk expression.
I would:
Increase the amount of health you get from con by about 35%.
Remove all rolling from light and medium armour ( give everyone the same heavy dodge).
I would speed up the attack speed (animations so they are less obvious for Warhammer attacks) by about 45%.
I would increase the speed of blood lust by an additional 10%.
I would increase the effects of all leaching effects by an additional 10%
I would nerf the damage of bow/musket by about 50%… doing 6-9k crits still is too much!
I would decrease the rate which heals tick but increase the amount they healed. Heals tick about 40% slower but the amount healed increased by 10% more.
I would buff all siege equipment in wars e.g. cannons and hot oils so that they are actually worth using, considering those were some of the parts of the “wars” that interested people in playing the game and the fact that they do next to nothing means they are not used in wars.
I would have diminishing returns on CC’s/Debuffs in PVP.
I would have people sign up as dmg, healer, tank etc for OPR to allow us to get an even playing field on both sides.
Cross-server Arena and OPR ( this should of been a thing the moment they came out).
I would remove some of the survivability of ice mages, they are supposed to be dps not tanks.
