We have to remember that there’s just a lot of kids around and people of varied backgrounds.

People that make the commentary about “3k hours not being able to exert their influence or acquired gear” doesn’t quite make sense because a lot of those 3k hours guys are going to fresh start. A lot of people will go do the fresh start because it’s a new grind–it’s a new feeling of achievement.

People like challenges, speed runs, proving they can do it all over again with a new subset of people.

Which is why assuming that fresh starts will fix anything fundamental is just mental. It truly is about giving people the chance to start fresh with their friends and help re-engage people that didn’t get over those content/leveling humps early.

It seems your questions have been answered and it has turned into a snowballfight between points of views.

My input is pretty much:
I wanted these within days when the first huge dupes and exploits started and AGS didn’t want that to happen. So i quit the game at 60 with a couple of trade skills at 200. I have no interest in coming back to the same character and have zero issues with starting over again.

The fresh servers will likely see a decline after weeks and then stabilize around a saddle point of players, maybe get merged and become main servers in the long run.

I dont really play with others much in this game anymore due to whole guild quit and never came back. We are all very close still and talk a lot in discord but all of them when pressed if they would come back say no way.

I was hoping there was more to this fresh start thing that would get them to come back.

This <3 Chest runs and exploits killed it for me. Fresh servers and a new leveling experience is my reason to come back. I loved the game and was so sad when i left. Same happened for me in ESO 2014 and i left for a year. I came back in 2015 and played every day until 2021. So no not serial quitter, just a demanding customer.

To be fair, most of the improvements they have made to the game in the past 9 months were things that were complained about in beta/launch, known issues. Not sure what you really contributed, besides maybe allowing them to make payroll depending on what you bought of the in-game store in the past year. Once could say that bots probably helped keep this game alive more than most of the veterans.

that is incorrect. the tax was reduced to 1 percent instead of 10 percent. the company that still received the 10 percent received 2k on a tier 4 house.

your statement is wrong by… literally… an order of magnitude.

You are one of the people who says you don’t know, but you do know lol, you even state what is a Fresh start server, A few google search will even tell you what it is, But anyways…

It does matter, If you want New and Returning players to join back into the game.

The Problem is, they need to make sure this time people stay, Most Majority of people left because of the Duplicates and how items become way cheaper when obviously The market plunged way down and too fast.

Just imagine working time and effort to just realize somewhere out there people can make dupes.

Now this effects the Guild Leaders and its Members, eventually it spreads like a Corona Virus, when members start quitting the community gets effected, Like a domino effect, Hence the massive people quitting and moving on.

Now I don’t care if you say the dupes have been removed, But that’s up to the majority of the community to decide, Most case scenario, no they don’t believe and the damage is there and there’s a potential leak and missed dupes lingering around.

Tho the small bugs and exploits followed by Bots a small shank to the people, The dupes was the one that nailed it to the coffin.

The funny thing is the complainers about a new “Fresh Start Server” They are the people who tend want to drag everyone else with them, They are the Hoarders of resources, The people who like to show boat/ Flex those such resources, The ones that possible abused such advantage in secret, Only to find out there’s a new server that doesn’t allow transfers to it.

You don’t get to choose who stays and who leaves, The majority of people are sheep’s and will follow the domino effect, people will follow the crowd, They want to restart the adventure and the appeal of doing it fair.

There will always be Two servers open in New World, One the Old/Legacy and One the New.

If the The Old and New servers end up merging again in the future, Then the point of bringing people back into the game would have already failed, and most majority on the community would have quit again.

Why does it matter? “IT IS TO BRING PEOPLE BACK INTO THE GAME”

If they don’t fix the unfair play, Bots, Bugs, etc including dupe potential, then there is no point to creating a “New Fresh Start Server”

Hopefully they learnt from the past and this is a “Turn a New leaf” is the final Result of a solid foundation for New World.

No offense but this is my opinion and i had seen it too much.
IF the FRESH server(s) are really released, i bet those people who were requesting it won’t last for 2 months and come back here (this poor forum) to complain and request to either reset or open another FRESH server again.

And why would they quit? Ask yourself, Why did majority of players quit the game?

There is no point on creating “Fresh Start Servers” if the issue still persist on the old servers.

But if its fixed, Then what else is there to quit? Content? Do you blame them for quitting because lack of content? Or is maybe their taking a break and waiting for new contents rather then quitting?

People quit because of the exploit Dupe, Plain and simple, No need to fight it.

Most players want to hit that reset button and wanna give AG’s another chance to relaunch the game, If its successful then you will have a community of players staying in the long run, very simple.

The most game breaking bug in a MMORPG is duping, Every Developer should be afraid of it. Followed by botters.

I have a level 60 character on a populated server where I’m having fun every day. I don’t believe the AH has a large majority of duplicated items and I really have no interest (even if it is better) to level up to 60 again.
