What's goign to end up with elemental creatures, exactly?

Specifically regarding the wyrdwood, because I’m totally confused about that. They mentioned in the 1.1.1 patch notes they don’t want peole grinding them (which is kinda odd, why add interactable corpses if not for the intent of harvesting them over and over), especially for motes, but also left out the sentence “…and reduced the amount of other resources aquired from them…”, but what does that mean, exactly? And how bad is it? They’ve been the only reliable source for leveling engineering since launch, so I want to know how bad it’s going to be when they (FINALLY) re-enable them. Should I wait a bit and grind something else in the meantime or is the game shifting to acquiring wyrdwood in the more “traditional” logging way?

Hi, this is not 100% accurate… but you’ll get the point.

Bears(before): 2-4 earth quintessences + 40-50 calamine.
Bears(after): 6-10 calamine.

Wolves will be the same when they enable that feature.

As far as I know, they wanted those creatures to be “rare encounters” instead of fixed-spot ones… and the amount of resources they was giving was designed that way… but for X or Y those creatures were implemented in a fixed spot with a fixed respawn time… and the amount of materials for farmeable mobs was insane.

(Excuse me 4 any mistake, english is not my language)

I’m expecting it’ll be sub 8 per kill. Still might do it though. There are so few glades of WW that are dense enough to actually farm.

I wonder if they’ll also nerf the logging experience though… Won’t impact me as I’m 200 but the ~875 exp they gave made the long grind to ironwood more bearable. Even the 300 cons, reset jank YouTubers pretended was more efficient was a mindless sink of trollish proportions. And that’s gone now.

If ever there was a patch note we could use to lift the spirits, it’d be one that shortens the gap for logging from 1 to 175. Honestly, who designed these numbers? Once you hit 175, ironwood smashes the remainder of the 25 levels in a fraction of the time it took to do 5 with wrydwood.
