Thought it would be fun to talk about our gaming rituals/schedule when playing.
I typically don’t have much time to play after work so I get up around 5-5:30am make some coffe get a little bit a breakfast set-up, sometimes I’ll put a movie on in the background (most recently: Shrek, 300 and John Wick), and then play for about 2.5 hours before getting ready for work.
It’s nice to be up while it’s still dark out and playing the game. Feels like I have the whole place to myself before life responsibilities kick in. The only let down is that not many other people are playing on my server at that time.
I play after work till about 11pm or maybe midnight. My ‘ritual’ if you want to call it that is to close the game (whatever game I’m playing) and hop into Discord to chat with friends for about 30-45 minutes while playing Farming Simulator. It’s relaxing and calms me down, whatever I played before.
My playing time is similar to yours most days…I do like getting up early and playing when all is quiet around me and I usually play for about 1-2 hours. It is true for me as well that there does not seem to be many around at this time on an Eastern server, so I am always surprised when I do occasionally play in the evenings, how many characters I see playing.
I can’t log out until my bags are empty, banks are sorted, auctions are listed, and everything is tidy & ready to log in the next time. That way I can log in and immediately go do whatever strikes me as fun without fussing with my stuff.
Ah yes, I typically do the same (unless I’ve got to log off abruptly). It’s very satisfying to have completed all of the ‘house keeping tasks’ before logging off.
1: Check the map to see if my home city (Monarch’s Bluff) has been lost to infidels.
2: Run out to collect resources.
3: Get murdered by a roaming Syndicate death squad.
4: Rage quit. Log onto the forums, locate threads asking for a PvP server and spam anti-PvP server tirades because it is the only way I can hurt the people who hurt me.
Arrive at work, make coffee, do some RL work tasks that need doing each morning, then log onto new world via steam stream and start gathering resources while pretending to be working.
Sometimes I set an early alarm so I can get an hour or so before work starts, then after I finish work I’m either streaming it or chilling with my company/community freinds and just vibe with them till around 11PM.
