When a new MMO comes out, this game will die instantly

players turned this game’s PVE for gold selling and buying - for real life money… All servers are turned into mega gold selling and buyers with gold sellers and buyers… Majority of players in this game only play this game to earn real life money with selling in game gold, like in Archeage Unchained where many Turkish or Russian players or any countries’ majority of players only play the game for selling gold and what happened to Archeage? It is dead and all of that illegal and toxic etc players based come to New World and the same tragedy happens here too… AGS doesn’t ban these illegal players or any toxic players’ speech in game in forums and so on… The situation in New World is too bad right now…

3vs3 PVP Arena and pvp salt quest are total failure, and the game become more grind and punishing for new and returning players to catch these old players who obtained everything easy with bugs, exploits, item + gold duplications and so on… If you don’t buy illegal gold, you will never catch any of these 625 gear score players where %95 of the server is full of 625 gear scores…

If current New World is going to die so fast it is mainly because of these illegal players’ gold selling and toxicity, then the mistakes of AGS for not providing any real contents, or good decent servers without experiencing lags, high latency ping ms and so on… Just look at the Trade Post prices, it is insane… Richer becomes richer, and geared becomes more geared while legal normal players cannot do anything… In most servers, thy sell 6k Umbral Shard from M10 mutation for 10k gold already lol… I even don’t mention these bug exploiters, gold + item duplicators , and then cheaters etc…

This game will be closed if it continues to go like this. But I am sure that when throne and liberty unreal engine 5 mmorpg comes - New World will become a true ghost town really…

I’ve been looking at Elden Ring, good reviews on steam and on other sites the same. Some bad (as in any game) but it seems like overall a decent game…still not sure if I want to pay 60 bucks or not…but it does look interesting

There’s a huge interest in MMOs. Just not MMOs with archaic design, just look at GW2, ESO, and FFXIV. Millions of gamers continue to play them. What millions of gamers are not interested in, are boring grind for nothing for the potential to be PvP ready MMOs. Yeah vertical progression PvE gear grind to PvP MMOs will die out.

MMOs that have very inclusive and fun gameplay. Will continue to be successful. MMOs like New World, ArcheAge, AION, and BnS, will only be played by less than 5,000 players. Because these Devs make their MMOs fun exclusively for no-lifer PvE grinders and $$$ whales.

If you buy it on PC there’s the seamless co-op mod and it’s pretty hella fresh. The Discord already has a channel for setting up duels and since it’s all opt in (no invasions) I haven’t heard many complaints, not like you hear about invaders.

Seamless co-op put like another three playthroughs on my radar when my first is already threatening 200 hours.

Pvp is not popular when a sever has around 500 people online begging others to q 3v3 or opr

Well if the new zone is just that a new zone then Yeah the game has no hope the new zone will need to have open world bosses unique and not just same mob but bigger and more health, with their own mechanics, new and different mobs not just the same mobs in just other zone, maybe close zone for pvp?? This will be dope, new mobs mechanics, plus a rework on leveling maybe keep the 625 but remove the 500-600 grind since is really boring and come out with new ideas, definitely they need to improve crafting and just let people pvp without gs blocks, the only block there should be weapon abilities meaning if they haven’t level their weapon they can’t use the abilities like it is right now.

AGS has already handed to a dedicated study the development of a new MMO in Unity Engine (Escape From Tarkov). New World has become their paid open beta.
AGS might a good publisher, but they just can’t create good games.

ok you have no idea what youre talking about. Saying AA was balanced and WotLk wont kill anything. Its gonna be fun for 2 Months like BC and will start to die. Nostalgia andys gonna see whos creaming his pants the most by getting items they never got and be done with the game. Talking major shit about New World and still being active in the Forums shows how much you actually like the Game so dont make a show trying to badmouth NW. @fedeplaymaker Do you really think any meaningful amount of people are going to buy that next game. After AGS have proven 3 or 4 times in a row they can not make fun and entertaining games.

I’ll call it right now. The next AGS made game will make no more than 20k sales. They might make more, if they prove 6 to 12 months after the release of that game. That they’ve learned from the multiple previous failures.

If its Bad why are you here on the Forums? Just leave if it is THAT bad. Simple solution

I’d buy it for sure. Built on a proven engine as Unity (Escape From Tarkov is built there).
AGS hires a new game study to develop and then they publish it under Amazon. They had success publishing games they did not develp themself, like Lost Ark.

To be fair it’ll be pretty much you and the other 15k of NW fans. That will be buying it. Everyone else will at best wait for at least 6 to 12 months. For the dust to settle before even thinking about buying it.

NW it’s not in a good state but there’s not another similar MMORPG to replace it. So, till then, i’ll be here, suffering and wondering about what it could have been.
I have +2000 hours in this game… I’d love to keep playing it for 10 years but it seems that AGS has alreade made their move onto another game. So will I when Throne & Liberty comes out later this year. Then, New World will be officially dead.

Man this feels like every other MMORPG. “If X releases Wow is dead” no nothing will die. People gonna check the game and come back. Its like that since forever

I do played it, even on private servers few years later. And it was still as good as it was back then, naxx is awesome and the arena and overall pvp was really good. Right now New world has nothing to show that could get close to that. The nw pvp is grossly unbalanced, even the overpowered dk times were better than what we have in nw since release there is always an OP weapon and every balance is either missing the op weapons or over nerf it and make a new op weapon.
And the wotlk stronger in pve too, the raids and dungeons even though not that replayable as it is on retail it is still much more than what we have in new world.
And since its classic they will probably make things harder and rebalance most things.

i’ve played other mmos and I have to give props for the responsive combat in the game. its not as fast paced as I would prefer but its not bad in terms of being an action based mmo. even ESO has problems coming from a game that was in mid transition between tab based combat vs action combat. if my wood elf shot an arrow and the player or npc was strafing sideways I would expect it to miss… not in ESO apparently arrows are magic and follow the player or npc quite a bit. same goes for any magic shot in the game. as for WOW…? tab combat all the way without apologies. sure the story is good but it doesn’t hit quite as well as ESO. black desert online is oversaturated in menus. elyon is… intersting, undecided on that one whether I like it or not as its pretty much a hit the thing till it dies no matter the class and im an assassin in that game I should be a glass cannon in that world. but I digress…, New World has the potential to be a great mmo if the devs would focus on the PVE and put a pin in the end game. their quests are copy paste missions that offer very little to fulfill any level of story intrigue and their player/world and player/npc interaction is pretty much the bare minimum to which I would expect has simply been an algorithm that is designed to clone missions out in the game with proceedurely generated missions to appease the masses in a maliciously compliant, “okay you wanted more missions, we have more missions for ya. so shut up now”

New World is a PVP focused game. It was born like that and every single change devs have made it’s due to PVP experience. PVE focus? Won’t happen. They need to fix and balance PVP experience, and then we can talk about PVE.

im hearing what your saying. but hear me out. an entire year has passed and the pvp players have not slowed down on the pvp experience. demanding more new concepts. increase the gypsum, increase the salts. we dont like opr anymore we just want to swap fort captures to get more blah blah blah when does it end…? there is an experience where the players can simply be rewarded by the fun they are having at the time and there while some level of player progression is important in an mmo. there should be a cap or at least a soft cap where it is extremely difficult to push past a certain plateau in order for other players to catch up and for endgame players to progress in a certain way that doesn’t break the game. in my honest opinion, the game would do well with some simple pvp mission additions that turn the forts and tents into a capture the flag and other basic multiplayer gametype experiences so the devs can work on much better story telling experiences as opposed to the same old "go here and kill/collect 10 things’

What new MMOs? LA came out, game is still here. Ashes? The game that is never going to release and when it does, it’ll be another Cyberpunk and fail? You’re really stupid lol
