Almost every server (now that merges have happened) have multiple mega-companies with shell companies owning multiple territories. The same armies get multiple wars a day and lockout content for a lot of players. Matches can be extremely lopsided. It has been mentioned so many times that the easiest solution is to have a “war exhaustion” debuff that locks you out of war for the day (until reset).
This allows other players / companies a chance at owning exterior territories and adds more content for a wider range of players. Fighting the same people/armies is exhausting and causes people to quit. The best players can continue owning the most profitable territories, that’s fine, but allowing them to own 3-4 territories is ridiculous.
War exhausting does the following:
Stops shell companies
Forces companies to have their “best” players reserved for the hardest wars (usually WW / EF / BW)
Allows smaller companies to assault other territories when the “BIG 3” are attacked, due to locking out the “elite” armies and forcing them to choose what to defend
Gives more content to a wider range of players
Increase war participation
Splits tax revenue to more players/companies
There are no cons to this addition. Please give us this change, it is sorely needed to fix territory ownership.
This coding should mostly be in the game already, as there is a lock out debuff for OPR. Create the same one, but for war, except have it prevent you from signing up to a war board when you have the debuff.
Make it so you can only field a war with your own company members, with a max of 2 merc groups. (similar how to invasions can only pick 10 players, but for wars its opposite where they can have 10 mercs)
With the suggestions I made, competitive companies can still war a lot and take as many territories as they want, but they cannot have multiple siege windows thus they will ahve to choose which territories they want to defend.
If a company doesn’t have enough players to fill their own roster, it auto fills from the list.
It can only be same-faction mercs though.
Theyre adding mock wars in the future, keep this in mind.
This will happen naturally if you can only war with your own company. Because if you own multiple territories, you can be warred at the same time. If they want to defend multiple, they’ll have to open-world pvp to stop the influence push. If they split their 100 man company in half to defend both, they risk losing both as itll likely autofill if not everyone can make it to the war.

Do not do this, there should never be ‘debuffs’., There should just be systems implemented that naturally prevent it. But lets say someone warred for their company and signed up to war elsewhere, then got lucky to be auto-filled, then let them. If a company that has a defense war, let them still attack. Don’t reduce wars, just make it so they can be punished heavily for being greedy.
Example, if you’re afraid of a strong company, set you siege window to the same as theirs so they cannot attack you without risking the loss of their own
bro, this is way too complicated. Adding an exhaustion solves all the problems with one easy sweep. There’s no reason for a company to own more than one territory. There are so many companies itching for wars now with servers at 1200-1500+ active players. Companies owning multiple territories has destroyed servers and brought nothing but problems.
run a company we dont have a town atm and we should not add locks as you said 1100 to 1500 on some servers its a war game and there`s 13 areas for us to fight over waiting a week between them would time gate our wars next and clear the rest of real pvp’ers out, why would we wanna allow one company, for example to keep windwars for a week. If it can be taken thats over a mil ussaly easy in one week there alone.
Acctual fix would be to add Company houses with Company vualts

Remove taxes, make it diffrent buffs companys get when owning a town would make for fun not for greed, with this towns would have to upgrade with no fee just townboards and bring more lower players into the game.
Add names to auction house so we can kill those who buy everything out and re sell them at higher prices or atleast so we can decide who we wish to be around.
none of these things will happen most likely either, as people have said these things over and over again…
You can shot me I earn like 50-60k weekly on resellin items playing only 2 oprs daily. So play war for fun not for many why you care if u win or not then ? Company who own city are made with a people who are strongly focused around pvp. I can say they are really tryhards. I was in both types of companies try hards pvp and casuals and even in mentality differences are huge PS. Not everyone in those companies who own EF have a BIS set.
Suggesting to lock the best players on the server who put the most time and effort into wars to 1 war a day, in order to let casual players play when they can do my suggestions + add mock wars for casuals instead?
owned 5 towns in past and not sure how you sell anything from opr as its all bop and ya we have bis sets in my company, dosnt matter no locks should be added to wars. Also i still beleive taxes should be removed why should the average person or rest of our player base pay for our armorer its a really dumb part of the game that should be removed and the devs should really use there heads it drives more away then it could ever bring to the game also add’s a way for server economys to be ruined by 1 company which drives even more from the game…

your idea is to punish the ones that make it happen, they run sometimes doing missions all night and if you do 2 decks so you could have 2 wars next day your now just doing it for others 0_o this idea effectivly would make less wars happen
but mock wars have been cried for since beta to be setup like opr but they gave us 3v3 instead yay! sarcasim
Stupid question … Problem 90% of companies which dont own any town is bad organization not real invloved about PvP. A lot of companies just do influences organize war with 0 plan, tactic, comps, no shotcaller. Second problem … players mentality they book their place for a war and do not apear, on wars they dont listen play how they want do what they want, if someone tell to change build they dont wanna do it. Rest 10% are companies who really take seriously pvp.
which is why as i said they need names on people selling stuff from th at higher prices, without the work and hurting economys and gives us the choice to heal you or not or just plain gang up on the people who ruin the market in opr and make them pay for there choices.
i agree with mrsky on this one even if we take taxes away to help the people in game and get more causals in the real pvp’ers will still do all the things he said and will be about 10% that take it seriously and i honestly dont think the numbers are 10% lol

Exhaustion is a lazy mechanic that means people who are strong enough to take multiple territories (good players, people who spends hours watching vods, theorizing strats, spending all their gold on gear/consumes/etc) can only war once and if they own two territories that they took with their own efforts means they can’t defend (or potentially reduces amount of attacks they can do), and means casual players fill the roster instead and potentially lose their territory because of it which they (the ones filling) didnt help to take in the first place.
Don’t punish good players.
Instead give more opportunities to players who arent on war rosters to war more. Make it so good players can’t dominate by making it company-only wars. Add mock wars. Both let players not in the ‘top 1%’ get into both real and practice wars without punishing good/dedicated war players.
You will not change player’s mentality but you can change people in your company is easier and faster. There is a guy who list in war and did not apeared ? Kick. There ia a guy who did not listen shotcaller and play how he want ? Kick.
